@Draemonus If anything, despite all its "part molding and design mistakes" the quality should be the BEST of the 3 optimus offerings. If you've held an MP-44 before, you'd respect the undeniable quality. I will concede that everyone defines quality in different ways and that your definition of quality may be different from mine! I want to TRY to stay as middle of the road with MP-44 but it is very difficult. I stay away from comparing it to MS-01 or TE-01 as much as I can, lest my true colors show and I get branded as a hastak shill. That aside, MP-44 looks and feels exquisite. Even if you hate the toy, hate the direction MP line is going, can't afford it or whatever... there can be no denying that MP-44's material/build/finish is in another class: the beautiful luster in the paint, the buttery smooth ratchets, the perfect weight, that safe feeling you get when you hold it. Yes, it's a billion times more expensive and it certainly has its flaws, but the one thing I will vehemently defend is the "quality" of this toy. I have ms-01 and te-01. They look good in their own way and I 100% respect what they've done, but I can't put them in a crowd of Masterpieces let alone compare them to MP-44. The difference is that apparent. Even my 0% transformers anything fiancee can pick out the few 3rd party figs that I have by means of "feeling cheap" or "doesn't look right". (among this was lavenderwave, but rightfully so). I TRULY LOVE MY HOWLING METEOR, DOWNBEAT, OP-EX, AND QUIETUS... But they all either feel flimsy and/or don't look right in my small, out-of-box Masterpiece display. I'm sure some aspect of that is the mismatch in design language, but a lot of it also has to do with the finishing. It's a big reason all the 3p offerings i buy are for play and not to stay. OK maybe not quietus. That one is pretty good. @Dean ML i totally agree. I mean, maybe not as a blanket statement, but the "feels cheap/looks cheap/is cheap" sentiment is real.
