Won't happen. If they don't do one for Prime at this price point, why would they do it for other figures that's cheaper and less important?

Let's say there's minimal issues with Bumbleebee and Hound, that doesn't mean that they've actually improved their process, it's just because those figures are much simpler and less prone to issues in the first place. In fact if anything that should be the first thing TT should learn from this debacle. It's not enough to have a great design, it's much more important to have the manufacturing side be able to accommodate the design.

I find it odd that someone your age, growning up in the uber articulated era, would be saying never to even just the idea of such a figure. I remember pre-MP01, a lot thought and said that we'd never get a figure on that level with that much articulation. Never say never, my friend. Hell, when I was 16, OG Optimal Primal was the most articulated Transformer that I'd ever seen.

Maybe they heard of the knee issues and are waiting for an updated batch?

Here's one last question, who here hasn't applied the fix and still has no issues with their knees while transforming a lot or moving the knees a lot?

It's pretty easy to check, the part in question is the rachet slot that connects to his legs. Pop the two black screws and you can get a pretty good look to see if the slot is warping or there is wear around the edges.

Out of my two copies, the play copy in robot mode hasn’t had the fix applied and both knees are still solid.

So far, I’m not thinking about it. But in the future, I may have to do a fix. @AnonymousDwell came up with an excellent set of talking points concerning the knee issues and the returns in general. His points make a lot of sense.

I finally got the polarizing robot man in over the weekend from AmiAmi. Anything I have to add is similar to what I've already read here and elsewhere, but nothing broke or chipped so I come out on the sunnier side of things; he's fine, to me? Intricate transformation that seems over-engineered, while the 'bot and truck modes you get out of it are stellar. No paint chipping on the gray chest stripe or anywhere else, though I get how it happens. No bent or warped antennas...or maybe they are but it's not dramatic and not something I'd notice without staring right at it. The knee joint is silly, but seeing how it's supposed to work ahead of time, I haven't bothered with the fix and don't know if I will. No broken little people, but yikes they feel fragile. I appreciate the storage room in the trailer for most of his little bits, though no natural home for the Starscream stuff is odd.

In-hand, I'm mostly struck by how well he strikes the right balance of real-world likeness in truck mode and cartoony aesthetic in 'bot mode, a la Sunstreaker. It makes the upcoming MP-45 feel even weirder to me. I'm kinda surprised the chrome bits aren't off-white or gray or whatever, so they could save the chrome for a MP-44+ toy version. I'm definitely glad I "saved" a little bit getting this guy from AmiAmi when the price was still in the 30000-something yen range (I should really start transitioning TF preorders to Amazon JP soon); I like him and am glad I got him, but I don't think I $400+ like him.

Leave the antenna alone or you'll be sorry. If its bent as in the entire batch released worldwide must have been a Takara collective decision to prevent stressing the edge. If there's a batch with an actual straight outta the box, that's another story.

I'll fix it if it needs fixing. But for the forseeable future, I'll just be careful with the ratchets.

I'd recommend taking the head apart and only heating the antennas.

There's been reports of straight antennas.
Also some people have had one antenna more curved than the other.
It's been theorized that the bending happens while the plastic is curing. They're supposed to be straight and can be easily fixed :)

… and in my case it was a bent antenna, not just simply curved.

They really should have packed the head outside of the truck in order to midigate the number of bent copies.
