You have to hold the button to switch modes, I think it’s the sixth one. Hope that helps

Anyone want to be a hero to the community and make a video explaining the knee joint situation? Maybe with some diagrams or close-ups of the internals? I have to admit, I’m not entirely understanding the problem.

I’ve yet to open mine—will when I get home tonight. But I’d like to be better informed before I dive in. Much thanks to anyone who does it.

Yup. I assembled my other MP-44 leg, man handled both of them (a fixed broken one, and a not broken one). Kept bending the knee all the way and back for 5-10 mins. The not broken one broke, fixed one still standing. Doing it to the other leg now. Will upload tutorial in a bit.

Do you have to transform him to remove the plastic protectors?

Can someone confirm if the MP-10 Matrix fits in MP-44? It was mentioned briefly a few pages back and I was wondering if that shadow fisher light up one will fit too.

Love a bit of LED on premium stuff.

Pretty sure it does (hope so anyway, I bought a SF light-up one as soon as we saw in magazine shots that the matrix looked identical to MP-10's!).

I think that a reviewer briefly mentioned that it’s identical just painted differently.

I don’t understand much Japanese so I was hoping someone on here who has both the light up matrix and MP-44 could help out :)

    Question:

    I'm stumped.

How do you lock the backpack in? I can't seem to get the entire thing to secure to Prime himself. (maybe not the backpack, but the section in between the backpack and Prime.)

You have to unfortunately absolutely force the waist down. Spread his legs and hold onto his crotch with your thumb and put two fingers next to his head on either side and just squeeze

Yep, got that right after I posted it.

However the backpack stumps me still.

I haven’t figured out that part, I think you have to lean him over before you push his waist in and kinda hook the tab under the slot before leaning him back.

I don’t have the figure yet so I can’t confirm but give it a go and see what happens

I think it depends on how yours are when it’s out the box I’ve seen some people just able to pull it out and then others have to transform it to remove it. It’s a mileage may vary on that, but I don’t think it’ll have affected the figure at all if it’s easy to pull out

I think it mainly comes down to the fact that I’m a ‘bot mode guy’ so I’d only ever be doing it as something to fill time, it then becomes a question of ‘risk vs benefits’. Don’t get me wrong, I still want my Transformers to live up to their name, but I can happily live without frequent transformations of my more expensive collectibles (MP-44 is now in a league of his own in this regard...)

I always think the proof’s in the pudding when I look in the MP Appreciation thread - it seems to be predominantly filled with pics of robots doing their thing, with an occasional sprinkling of vehicles and (even less frequently) the likes of MP-13, 29, and 36 lying around helplessly in their non-vehicular alt modes.

Of course I have to admit to an exception when it comes to my MP BW figures - I’ve transformed them a whole lot more, particularly MP-43, mostly due to the fact that both modes have articulation and various facial expressions to enjoy.

I've gone through bunch of videos, and I just can't figure it out. How does this part secure?
