So, is the knee ratchet not working properly a widespread problem?!

It will not be easy since you're not a Japan resident.

It seems to be. Not that wide.

Picked up the figure over the weekend and yeah, after looking at the instructions and watching a couple of YT videos...I think I’ll transform Optimus when I’m free! X)

Apparently A.jp will send you a DHL label, but it is not paid for. It was gonna cost over $100 US to send my defective MP-20+ back to Japan with DHL, and the label Amazon.jp sent me. I guess they refund the money after and it gets added to your account as credit. Then you get a refund for the figure if they don't have anymore, or another one if they do.

Their CS is really nice though.

    I really hope it isn't!

Lol, if I can, I don't want to deal with ratchets that don’t work properly!

I literally got the RG Nu Gundam today as well. Gonna be a fun build!
On topic: Has anybody gotten a response from Takaratomy Q&A yet on the potentially crippling knee ratchet flaw on MP44? Id really love to hear their excuse..lol.

You should add “properly working” to that alias.

Off-topic but once you complete your RG Nu Gundam, can you post your thoughts on it?

I’m tempted to pick it and the RG Sazabi up but:

    i. I most collect and build MG kits.

ii. Lack of time these days.

Is there a way to pin on the front page the possible solutions to address the knee problem? It'll be easier to look it up for those that will need it rather than sift through the pages.

In all seriousness though, the buyers shouldn't be left fixing this crap on their own. This is something TT should have captured before the product's release.

Agreed! Was there ever any rigurous safety and design flaw tests done correctly before they released MP44?!  :(

RG Nu gundam is a really fun build and a really solid kit. Real fun to pose and the funnels are solid. Nubs are not really a problem other than the transparent green, red, and blue. I would recommend them. Best kits I’ve built in a good while. The Sazabi and Nu gundam makes a good standalone display together

Back on track, does anyone have a disassembly guide for MP-44’s leg? Maybe some pictures of the screws and such?

I sent an item back to them earlier this year. They didn’t send me a paid shipping label, but all I had to do was send them a pic of the receipt showing how much I’d paid, and they reimbursed me for the full cost once the parcel made it back.

The biggest inconvenience of it all was dragging my lazy ass to the post shop. Would 100% do it again, with no hesitation, but I’d really like to not have to do that with MP-44 - the wait has been long enough as it is hahah.

I never thought I'd say this, but this knee issue has me thinking of cancelling my pre orders all together and waiting for a 2nd run. Its starting to sound way to common. Its killing me because MP 44 is set to be the absolute centerpiece of my collection, but way too many people are reporting this issue. I plan on keeping Prime in his truck mode most of the time, but I dont want to basically know I'll be breaking him during the first transformation.
