I love this! That new face and paint make it look like a completely new figure. These + releases remind me a lot of back in the 90s when they did those "Toon Turtles" repaints. Except now, when I look at pictures of those Toon Turtles, they look like ass, but these + versions look amazing. Gonna preorder for sure as soon as TCP puts up a preorder.

It's a quote from Bluestreak. Says, "Sleep with one eye open tonight, flyboy...I hear you're getting replaced soon!"

 

As much as I dislike the trend of "cartoon or die", this Bluestreak looks cool. The faces and the effect parts make it even more cool; they add a lot of personality.

 

Since it won't be available through Amazon Japan, I'll wait for it to hit Ebay and pick it up during a flash sale like I did with MP-17+.
I like the face on the original version better though. They should've kept that.

 

To say nothing else, Takara is killing it with these more recent face sculpts. They really know how to modulate between soft emotes and hard robotic edges. Now I'm wishing they had given MP-17+ a similar treatment... and an entirely new mold instead of MP-12+.

 

I know, right? I mean, while I'm glad that I will be able to display at least one Datsun brother amongst the newer, toon accurate bots, it royally sucks that Prowl did not get this treatment, especially considering he's the most popular character of the trio. Prowl is going to now look even more off next to Bluestreak than Sideswipe does next to Sunstreaker.

 

Yeah...awesome...cool...sigh... Can we please get someone new?

 

Well, if we all get VPNs we can right Sideswipe 2.0 as something we want to see. I think he's going to happen anyway, I'm just hoping they want to do this run of finishing the other diaclones first, and do them last.

 

Looks good, if I weren't so far behind on the + releases at this point I would jump on it, but looking back at how many haven't gotten the + treatment yet, I am not sure I want to go down the catch-up path.

 

Okay, this one looks really good. Especially liking the new head/face. Not paying $85 for it and am more than happy enough with the original, though.

 

1. Those effect parts look awful
2. Odd that they would advertise him with the old MP Bee mold if a new MP Bee is on the way

Alright. I knew this was gonna happen. And I knew it was gonna be the ultimate toon bluestreak with the black and white tones. What I didn’t know is that they’d go the extra mile and make a new head with new faces and effect parts. This is a true plus figure. Improving on all other aspects to better match the new standard. And I’m really liking it. So yeah. This is great.

And MP Bumble V2 confirmed. Nice.

 

Takara trying to force us to buy these. it's pure laziness. Nice try Takara. All these + versions of things we really DON'T need is starting to kinda irk me at this point.

It's like we got to buy everything all over again. It's rather annoying really.

It feels a bit dishonest considering these are the versions we should have gotten to begin with. Thankfully, I'm happy with my 5 various Datsuns I have already.
