Maybe they're releasing him exactly the same as Hasbro so they have some budget for a Gigastorm retool/redeco.

 

Its possible once you put it next to Hasbro's they grey will be darker. Even a dark grey up in the light us gonna look more natural grey, and a few of those new pics wjen it's put of the light look a touch darker. I have a hard time believing their will be NO differences. Although anything is possible look at the Last Knight line! They haven't done that since DOTM and that was the only time and even that year they had SOME differences in the "Darkness Moon" line. On top of the name of the movie staying the same was really strange.

 

Does anyone know the differences yet?

 

IMHO Its the bright lighting at the departmental store, people. That's why the grey plastic looks pale.

 

I was going to get it. I even pre-ordered it months ago. But between TakaraTomy barely painting it (it's nothing like the differences between both Fort Max or Metroplex figures), the hip issue, the tail issue and the chest panel issue, this is an expensive gamble that I don't think is worth it. If it turns out to be a quality release (unlike Hasbro's), I can always get one later on (probably), but I don't think it's worth taking a gamble on such a pricey product that already has a bunch of known QC issues in its first release.

 

Huh, that is interesting. It also makes me think Takara might do some EX version of Trypticon with a toon deco and Brunt. The precedent would actually be there considering the upcoming God Ginrai set.

I was counting on it having chrome and more paint.  Since it is the same as the Hasbro release, there is no point.  Order cancled.

 

Another deco down the road is possible, probably very likely given how expensive Titan Class figures are to produce, but I don't think Brunt has a chance at an official release.

The two things that make me think we'd get Brunt with a hypothetical EX Trypticon are that every Titan class from Takara has had something extra, and the current trend-setter for an EX repaint, God Ginrai (even though yeah the only cosmetic difference is basically some chrome on Godbomber), comes with the new Headmaster Jrs.

 

Neither Titan has gotten an "EX" style release. There's no precedent for it. Brunt, while something that was included with the original G1 toy, was never shown in any fiction. Never given any use or personality. I can live without a giant lump of useless purple something.

 

I'd rather we get a Wipe-Out from the upcoming POTP Windcharger.

 

We already got him from the RTS Windcharger mold.

 

I know. Which is why I'd like a new one from the same character.   the new one will probably have the cockpit anyways. You could use it for Necro.

 

Anyone have any suggestions on how to cancel three items in a row with AmiAmi without them cancelling your account? Lol.

 

I hope we get a new Wipeout from that new Windcharger/Tailgate toy too. I think that mold might be their new best CHUG toys, but of course we need to see more pictures of them.

 

Unfortunately though the upcoming EX release of Metroplex doesn't appear to be adding Slammer and Six-Gun, so they don't always add to special EX versions.

I think if Brunt isn't already in the box for Takara's Trypticon, it's unlikely they will ever include him.

I also think if there's going to be an EX release of the mold, it will be a new Gigastorm.
