I just found it's available for preorder at my trusted shop, for the price of 295 euro. Seems like there won't be Trypticon in my future, at least not the Takara version.

It's sad when they reveal Trypticon before any of the TR W3 counterparts.

IMO, i do not think takara will make a LG version of every one from Titans Return, maybe they will, but not soon.

Definitely a big gap of product coming up here. Save up for later or buy some 3rd party stuff.

What I'm dying to see is "Nemesis Command". A picture with Tryp in city mode with Soundwave, Black Shadow, Overlord and Sixshot all attached in their base modes. Already looking forward to the Autobot City vs Nemesis Command battles I'm going to have with my boy

Any word on if the Takara one comes with Brunt, or what differences it will have?

Well it makes sense being that Takara's Trypticon will cost more than $225 after shipping and taxes here in the states so they'll have to do more marketing for their version. While figures like Sixhot, Kup, Blitzwing and Overlord will sell themselves with no problem. If fact it feels like Takara is giving Hasbro time to sell as much of their TR lot as possible before revealing pictures of what are likely better versions of their own. So the only difference in the case of Trypticon is his $80+difference in cost compared to Hasbro's (149.99) and Takara having to make the point of why it's even worth it....

Movie year. But they have to release this year's Titan figure this year, while smaller Legends releases could get pushed into 2018 without any problems. I wouldn't worry about it, I'm sure a Legends Triggerhappy will be revealed soon enough.

So, aside from paint, no different than the Hasbro one?

Wow, he's way shorter than I was expecting. Don't think a 3rd party can fix that, unless they plan on making new legs which probably wouldn't look right at all.

looks good besides that, also can't tell the difference yet between the 2 versions. Kinda seems more toy accurate than toon though, I woulda thought it'd been darker, almost black.

Also, I hope it has a bunch of areas to tap weapons onto, cuz I'm not seeing a bunch yet in those pics at least.

Nice but no real reason to wait/splash out for this version, which makes me happy actually aa I can buy him in person at TF Nation now. :D

Wow. Tough call. Cheem, could we trouble you to throw the G1 Trypti toy into the comparison? :)

Seems a hair taller than Devastator and right in the middle between Metroplex and Utopia. That works right for me, I could make him fight with both Utopia and Fortress and while not perfect I think it will look good. Plus, I like the idea of Fortress Maximus being the biggest of all. Now I have to hunt for a good price.

Anyone noticed the prototype on the last page made out of superglued Fort Max bits? That's pretty damn cool.

Considering he's a lot more hunched over in that pic, if you straighten him up a bit more, he'd just be a headshorter to Metroplex, coming up the top of his chest. So he's pushing close to TW Devastator height, give or take a cm
