Takara to TransFandom: Sorry about that Arms Micron business. Here's the Jazz Hasbro should've given you. TransFandom to Takara: It's about fuckin' time. What a difference a paint job makes. The ironic thing is, Takara didn't even add much paint; simply casting him in metallic grey plastic is what really makes TG-02 shine. Now bring on Kickback and Ultra Magnus!
I've seen some lousy photos of this figure -- and the Hasbro colors are certainly poor -- but having finally got one in-hand myself, I just don't get the hate. Both modes are accurate to the game design, and largely kibble-free: He's bulky yet slim, futuristic yet nostalgic, and well-scaled to the majority of the toyline. And he looks fantastic in both modes! What's not to like?
I've been going all Hasbro on the WfC/FoC stuff, but I might have to make an exception and replace my Hasbro version with this guy.
I think I might have to try and get this version of the figure. It looks a lot nicer than the Hasbro version.
Gooooood heavens. Those pink stripes... Honestly, the visor ALONE makes him look like Jazz. I don't know what Hasbro was thinking when they made it black, drives me crazy.
The simple fact that his wheels and the stripes in the window are pink and black make me want him more for some reason.
hmm i was so excited now im not sure, i guess i need to see them next to each other for a comparison. i can see some differences but i honestly thought the first pic you posted was the hasbro version
here you go ã²ã’ã²ã’ãªã€ãŠã‚‚ã¡ã‚ƒã®æ—¥å¸¸ | 銀色ã®æµæ˜Ÿï¼ˆTFジェãƒãƒ¬ãƒ¼ã‚·ãƒ§ãƒ³ TG-02 オートボットジャズ)
Takara did an awesome job with the colors on this figure. But unless there is some DEEP discount on this figure...it is EXTREMELY unlikely that I will ever get it.
I am so conflicted. I want to want this guy, but I'm having a hard time getting over some of the mold's proportions and design elements. It's like I know as soon as I get it I'll regret it in some capacity.
