Not only that, but the stand (apparently) doesn't have the Tamashii peg for the Tamashii port that all the figures have these days.
So instead of using the port that you have to use the claw?
I don't get it.

The paint job is very nice though.

 

Looks to me the claw is a part that is plugged into a its equivalent of a tamashii peg. Many of Bandai's stands do that same thing, it just allows for alternate ways of holding the figure.

Intially I thought this is a unecessary redeco; but I have to admit, the chunkier G1 Optimus indeed makes me slightly moist. uwu

 

It's got swappable ends, it noticeably includes multiple end pieces to peg into different holes - Check out the part photos. It's also worth mentioning the clear and painted sides are reversible - They give you all the parts in both colors.

That said, I think this is an unnecessary product. Anything even vaguely Prime-like has to be recolored into the big man, I get that, but also, waste of paint and plastic. Wish they could have done literally anything else - A seeker who could be flying on the stand, ER Waspinator recolor who could by flying on the stand... Whatever. Anything else.

 

If you look at the pics with all the parts for the stand it has 2 pieces that look like the pegs and if you look at the claw it has a hole in hit so it might allow you to use both the peg and the claw for extra security on holding the figure such as fatimus prime which I am definitely getting this for the stand and him I just love the inner core of the Magnus mold and now I can have fatimus without having to worry about wtf am I going to do with the armor

 

Too bad they didn’t go with a G1 toy deco (yellow eyes, among other details) on this one… hmmm..

 

So this is just like any other figure stand with the 3mm peg features... except that the entire stand floats a little bit above a second, slightly different, stand? And it comes with a hilarious Fat Optimus? For seventy bucks?

Wish it had toy colors, but I'm kinda into this! I'm also a sucker for tensigrity stuff, so it's neat seeing them do something with that.

 

I might go for a pair of the stands but Optimus is a definite pass without armour to justify that mould use.
