@TogeAtama - Has been a great help to me as well. Not only that, but he's an awesome person! I couldn't recommend him more highly.
Bring your own backup to work day... I used leg cranes from Big Powered to change a VersRiser into a transport...
Thanks - that means a lot coming from you guys! Feel free to drop me a PM if I can help out with anything else.
Now i'm curious. Is the idea to swap parts for some reason? I wish i've bought the first tridasher to replace the soles and the bullet core of my sunburst... ...and i also wish i had a chance to buy the shadow dasher just because, you know, that thing is basically Nolan's Batmobile. I think i need help to figure it out...
I plan to use the 4 wheels to make some high riding combinations and also a 4 wheel centaur type thing. I chose the Red one instead of black because I have a sunburst Dasher and blue because it goes well with red and I have a blue Digger and Jetter. Plus the red dianaut and black bullet core are really dope. Shadow Dasher is very nice and I wish I could've grabbed one before it got super marked up. I really love my sunburst though, Dasher just looks so damn good!
The greatest thing about this line is the customization via cross-part utilization... The more sets you have, the greater the possibilities. Check out Instagram and Twitter (or go back through this thread) to see some amazing builds. Not every part fits everywhere, so that adds an interesting challenge level. (If you have earlier sets with adapters and pins, that unlocks a few more possibilities. I don't think they have included them recently, but I hope they put them in some upcoming sets for newer collectors, soon.)
Cool! I got a Shadow Jetter because i liked the color scheme and a sunburst dasher because hey, it's red... And works perfectly with the red riser I know, but i was thinking more about unscrewing parts to swap them, i should've explained myself better I'm actually planning to do the same with the old and new Gigantor. I wanna make a red, gold and grey one and this will take a lot of unscrewing and unpinning...
Oh, no. I haven't been that brave with the new stuff. I did that a lot in the past with Vintage TFs, just to repair them, but then you have the issues with different factories using slightly to quite different molds, so screws may not align, etc. I don't know if that is an issue with these due to more limited distribution... Anyone know if more than one factory manufacturers all modern Diaclone?
Well, i can say i already had to switch parts on these powered suits, and i had no problems. I didn't even need to heat them up with a hair dryer in order to remove the cockpits pins. If i'm lucky, when i'll do the same to gigantor's arms (to switch the bug legs and get proper color details) a hair dryer will be enough to avoid any cracks in the plastic. But i swear, when i'll be done my main gigantor will be totally red, grey and gold. The only part that will not match this color scheme without a repaint will be the robot head, because i'm gonna replace the clear blue plastic in the eyes of the old one with the red from the new one, but i'll have to repaint the blue cheeks.
BBTS still hasn’t shipped my order. So much for them fucking getting here this week. Tridigger, Tridasher, and Trijetter are updates of these three. Though that begs the question. Whats Trirambler an update of?
My guess would be this one... Unless you consider the fact they didn't include the cassettes in the new line. In that case, the only logic explanation would be this one which doesn't make sense because it would be an upgrade on an already existing new mold. They did indeed remold the reboot bike, but a remold isn't an upgrade...
The cassettes are Microman, not Diaclone, unless you count non-Japanese releases, where some Microman was sold under Diaclone branding. In that case, I'd say also this Microrider on right... (With a nod to the Cy-kill mold from Bandai.) A lot of folks do, including me. Some of the ExHobby steel sheet decals and furniture are scaled to go with it. Make sure you get ones that are multi-scaled, that include PG (Perfect Grade, which is 1/60). @Purple Heart - Sorry, had to do some corrections...
The DA-53 Triverse Bullet Core Exclusive Set is up for preorder on BBTS for anyone that still wants it. Says it will arrive in November.
