If they do that, I'll have to cave and get them. (I'd prefer one box set, personally. When they sell them single, I always miss one.) I will need to make the vintage museum display plan bigger if they do...

I think you’re right about the timing. For the Japanese release I’m sure it will be out by the end of December, since New Years is a bigger event for us (we’re usually off for a week or so, whereas Christmas Day is a normal work day). Unfortunately logistics and distance means it probably won’t make it until the New Year for folks overseas…but it will be worth the wait for sure!

So can somebody explain to me what Triverse is/means, exactly?

Someone can probably give you a better explanation, but in terms of the sets...

Trivers is a sub-series, consisting of 4 vehicles: Dasher, Jetter, Digger and Rambler. They are individually made up of a top machine, bottom machine, and a bullet core. They can be interchanged and combained in many interesting ways.

Then you have the "Vers" series, which are smaller "expansion" units, like the grabber you bought, a jet I own, and a double rail gun buggy thing :D

The newer "standard" Diaclone sets, like DA-65 and DA-80, are also compatible with these other series, too (whilst still being compatible with the older standard sets).

If you're asking what the name literally means then it's anyone's guess.
Tri most likely refers to the three main parts of each base machine but Vers, who knows, just standard Japanese naming nonsense.

I thought I saw somewhere it was actually similar to Diaclone, which is short for DIAmond cyCLONE. I can't remember exactly, but I think it said the "Vers" part was short for "VERSion"..., but I could be mis-remembering.

    Sorry. I did mis-remember...

@Purple Heart - According to TT website via Google Chrome's translation, "Tri" represents "three-machine" (so @Fort Max was basically right) and "VERS" is short for "Versatile"...

I've been pre-ordering everything at The Chosen Prime. They allow you to make down payments at any time, in any amount. You can throw them $5, $10, $20, etc. a week and before you know it your robot it payed off. I already have Ripper payed for.

Mind elaborating a bit more? I’ve ordered in-stock items from them, but not pre-orders. However, that sounds great! I love it! It sounds just like Gamestop’s pre-order system.

Hadn’t seen this one yet, maybe it was posted here and I missed it.

Edit: never mind. Should have watched the whole thing before I posted. :D

Put any pre-order item(s) in your cart and check out. Then go to your account page and find the "pre-orders" section. Click on an item and you'll see an option to "view payments" - click that and you'll then see an option to "make a payment". There you can make whatever payments you want, whenever you want up until the day the item arrives in stock.

They showed up right as I was on my way out the door to work. I could only spare 15 minutes to open them, so only potato bed pics.

I believe an original working name of Diaclone was "Inchman".

    Reminds me of this.

Anyways, was watching a collection showcase and recognized most of what was in it… besides these lads.

Are these combo modes of a Big Powered and Dia Battles in grey?

And Diaclone was just shrinking Microman down. So, it's all in it together.

Yeah, the gray Dia-Battles was released at the beginning in lower numbers as DA-01EX : Dia Battles V2 Prototype (often referred to as moonbase colors). Someone just did a very nice alt combine of it.

That configuration of the DA-17 : Big Powered GV I.M.S. is just an alt mode too. Partsforming gives you more options. I have mine formed similarly.
