My DA-77 just arrived and is waiting for me at home. Edit: Just opened these, and it's been so long since I got any small suits that the size almost surprised me. They are pretty tiny, but packed with cool details. Kind of disappointed that the wrists don't bend forward, so they won't be using the sword/spear.
Do you want him to copy your response right back to you and assume you also can’t take a joke? A lot of this seams unnecessary.
Amazon.co.jp... cheaper shipping. faster shipping. poorly packed for shipping. You get what you pay for...
Weird. The only time I ever had an issue it was DHL's fault. They messed up thr box,, but the figure was still safe because A_J packed it perfectly.
Not the first time I got under-packed stuff from Amazon.co.jp... I had some white steal sheets just put in a flimsy flat mailer that got all creased up. I also had some model kit stuff with boxes damaged.
Oh suck….. I’ve never had that happen with them…. But with International Shipping being the nu Wild West, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised… sorry that happened
That sucks… Amazon(JP) packing has gone down quite a bit over the past couple years- it’s fine for domestic stuff 99% of the time because you don’t get packages thrown into planes but it’s pretty squishy… That said I’ve ordered things from Amazon(US) before only to literally have them arrive here (Japan) in a paper bag…
Nothing wrong with how Amazon Japan packed them. I got the exact same shipments. Nice sturdy box with the item wrapped in plastic then secured to the base. It is just how the local guys handle them once they arrive in-country.
Air packets inside the ends of the box would have made it a lot stronger... The packing may have been sufficient for domestic, but not international shipping. I'm glad yours made it okay. Collectables should just be packed better. I've mentioned several timed to US Amazon customer service that they should have a separate warehouse team for collectables and items over $100 retail. Oh, I've had many much worse things with Amazon US. Including those Exclusive TF collectors' sets last year that they put the shipping labels right on the package and shipped them... They didn't have enough to replace everyone that was upset so all you could get was a small percentage discount or return for a full refund, but replacements online were going for 500% markup... so it was better to just keep it and be glad of the couple of dollars back. On the plus-ish side, it led to me finally chunking bags and boxes of stored TF boxes. (I still have most my Diaclone boxes. Maybe this is a sign...) Luckily, I'm using AmiAmi for the next BP and a few others... I only still have the Rippers coming from Amazon.co.jp.
I felt this way after getting my skyjacket… being my first sprue set from Diaclone (I wasn’t expecting it)…. Just left me really confused with what to do with the box…. Also boxes items that don’t come with full clamshells- like the movie masterpiece figures…. I just trash can those.
Yeah... Probably where I'm headed. Due to the headaches involved, as long as the figures are intact, I'm not going to sweat trying to report it. (I'm saving opening these for tomorrow after work. I was already playing with my SS series Slag/Slug figure tonight, that came in from HasbroPulse earlier.) So far, I've been breaking down or "flattening" most the boxes (exception being the big ones I like to look at, but even those are now in a pile) and nesting the "clamshells" as much as possible, but even that is getting to be a bit much...
If Diaclone wasn’t so (extra) part heavy and so well painted [not you Convoy’s knee caps] I’d almost debate getting rid of the boxes…. But the idea of tossing all that in a tote gives me a heart attack. I think it’s (and the price of swimming deeper into Diaclone) is why I’m shelving and ultimately selling- most of my MP collection down the road. Was moving BW Megs and noticed the infamous crotch cracks. ———— back to Diaclone- I was having a hell of a time revoking my waruder solider on the clamshell…. That toros nests in there at the least expected orientation.
Is the only integration mode for these guys simply plugging in their back ports? I have to say the VERS cores have rather spoiled my mind when it comes to integration modes. The OG-Reboot suits (this is getting complicated) did a decent job slotting in with their arms (?).
For those trying to keep up... Mythos Chronological Order (toys only, no models): Vintage = (sold in 80s) Powered Suits A-C (think Mark I) 202x Powered Suits = (new set, but chronologically pre-Reboot) A-B (think Mark II) Powered Suit System = A-F (think Mark III) Maneuver Suits = (Greek alphabet) Alpha, Beta, etc. V-Movers = (Vers) 1-4 Note: I said "no models" because they adapted a lot of "Powered Suit Real Types" including A-C and Alpha, Beta, etc. without the "Maneuver" distinction for Greek alphabet.
