On a budget, I'd suggest build your own "hanger" casing and add details by gluing on textured parts (use wire from coat hangers or supplies from home builder stores) prior to priming and painting. That would give it a more solid feel with detail. If you want cheaper magnetic floors, cover them with ferrous steel sheets from a craft store before painting. For interior items, the tabletop gaming stuff I shared a short time back is pretty good. Takara-Tomy Diaclone Reboot
I've really been struggling finding table top war minis that fit. They're out there I just have to keep looking (or pay someone to design and print them). To a certain degree- as mentioned above crafting your own from boards and self greebling (LEGO would work if you didn't mind sacrificing it to the Greater Good) would be the 'better' way to go. If I had more time and took the time to practice and prototype I may get around to it at some point. Watching some GamesWorkshop paint tutorials i guess dry brushing and color choice does a *lot* of the heavy lifting. I've also heard some folks talk about dry brushing or doing detail paint on the diaclone figures themselves to bring out all the detail work that's molding in (somehow I just feel it'd tank the resell-if i ever sell... unless it was immaculate).
Now that I think about it... some of the HALO Megablok (or whatever they rebranded to) could work in a pinch these days too... but you'd still have a lot of 'studs' showing.
I do keep getting lured into looking at some of the gundam (model) hangers... but I'm just not sure model quality plastic construction would hold up to diaclone usage (especially if you were trying to suspend or manipulate parts).

My biggest issue with looking at the Chain Base (see prior links) is a lot of those are really meant for 1/100 gundam scale.
Sci-Fi 03 display set reissue 2021 – Fext Hobby (fext-hobby.myshopify.com) I think my biggest issue with FEXT was that it really just felt like a painted box. Though... I will admit the 'sky light' was a lot nicer than i'd have given it credit for for getting lighting in. Sorry I've derailed this a big on not specifically diaclone stuff.... but it's tangentially related. ------- On diaclone news, I was surprised to see that BBTS (and possibly others) were opening pre-orders for Dark Cathode Raptor Heads... those are pretty old for still hanging around... though both regular versions of Raptor and Bug are kicking around.
Anyone with Dragon/Ghoul *and* Gigantor can confirm/deny whether their base colors (the smoky grey) are the same, or also different shades? Same with the golds?
God.. I guess i'll have to dig all my suits out sooner than later... I swear that the dark cathode exclusive waruder suits (green and purple) matched with the other dark sets... but boy do these look super light in this shot.
The hanger shared is the KO versions of the MCB which are actually made at multiple scales. (I think I have a mix of MCB, which is impossible to find now, and those KOs and can't tell the difference.) PG is 1/60 and those are the very sets that most of the Ex-Hobby steel sheets are made to be compatible. I know I'm using that to build my base. Paint application would be key on tabletop gaming stuff if you don't want it to have that Warhammer feel. On painting the figures, I know I wouldn't buy anything customized, but some might. I would think those that do that plan to keep them forever.
starting to really wish they'd gotten the Mega-Grappler in there. Since the new Legios suit is considered Mega Grappler II
I do keep looking at their shop. I almost feel like Diaclone gets enough of the small details in their designs that more plain surfaces don’t quite mesh well with the aesthetic. Though I’ve seen modelers and kit badgers do some pretty crazy stuff.
I keep forgetting about Perfect Grade because they seems so large… I guess that just brings the point back that a Gundam would probably kick a Dia Battles ass… even though say (Aisle) Strike and Dia Battles both of component weapon systems. Huh... if my internet sleuthing is right... and RX-78 is supposed 18 meters tall after converting down to 1:60 scale (and inches because 'Murica!) comes out to the exact same height as (advertised by BBTS) for DA-80 (the taller BP)... probably TMI... but I thought that was fascinating. Suppose the Million Dollar question is that the head height or the drill height...
It's getting closer to the end of the month than not, and TCP still says September for da75/76. I honest to God feel like a kid waiting for Christmas, this wait is killin me.
Asking again for posterity's sake, anyone know where was this reported? I haven't heard anything about it, so I'd like to know exactly what to expect if I'm about to spend $500+ on something.
Oh, right, i felt like i forgot something... That was my mistake. The fingers haven't been reported to break. The bug legs on the arms though...
are they a different material than the ones on the original release? I never had a problem with those
