Not the same part as the head. Not the same shape or color. There is definitely something going on there. But, it does not appear to be head storage.
Depending on how bad/good it looks, I will likely opt to leave out the new crotch-plate connector piece in robot form. The way the wheels fold up on the side look too bulky to me without offering any additional stability from what I can see. It kinda looks like V-Max is wearing one of those military Iron Man exo-suits. Hopefully there will be additional parts after combination I could turn it into a scout or something.
Does anyone know if DA-80 & 81 have the new style of Nauts? I mean if you are going to make new Nauts, why not include them in the big sets???
Probably because they won't be launching these new Dianuts until next year and DA-80 is out in Dec. As for DA-81, that's all repaints/repacks so nothing new there regardless.
DA-70 processing soon at BBTS. I guess the flood gates are slowly opening. I already have DA-68 and GU-03 in my PoL, so once DA-73, the pod units, DA-75 and 76 hit this month, that PoL will be super fun to receive. It'll sooth the wallet sting.
Oh shit! I bet a new promotional Diaclone video is due out in September!!! We can really see everything that Powered Greater consists of.
I'm a bit worried all the JoyToy stuff I've been preordering for months from BBTS, plus some Diaclone and other stuff is all going to be on one ship... Luckily, most my Diaclone was at TF Source or other places.
Unless any additional delays, TF Source should have the three Gridman sets, the Pods, and DA-73 and DA-74 within the next couple of weeks... They are supposed to all be in the same shipment. (So, if trying to combine shipping for the free option, be aware.) I have 2x Pods and 2x DA-73 as well as the rest, so going to be a big lot there for me...
Well, Powered Convoy turned out to be quite different from what I imagine, I've got to make up my mind if I really want it considering the price for the whole package is going to be high. Or maybe wait for a recolor with Big Greater and only the cab part of Battle Convoy included...
So some revelations as I've been staring at this for the past few days. The 02 unit's wheels actually clamping over V-Max O2's is rather slick. Looking at the third set of "full" wheels (that aren't clamps) those teeth-like notches make me think they can clip together for some (currently unknown) reason. I'm also curious of the Powered Max-01 and 02 are effectively ready to convert into the final combined mode- or if there has to be a (significant amount) of reworking the combined pieces to make the Powered Mech mode. I'm also really curious what the final articulation will be like with the legs in the end. Does anyone with the Gridman set have experience with it's leg articulation? Both basically have an hip/thigh enclosure. I do wonder if the five (per leg) hard points will help redistribute enough mass to not blow out the hip joints long term.... Looking at the Powered MAV (combined vehicle) I'm having a hard time seeing how that's going to effectively line up with V-Max's Pod Grander to linkage. I also wonder if Powered Max-02 would still be able to fit in the standard Pod Grander (trailer) or if it will require (at least) one trailer extension. Hoping they'll release the Shadow Colors soon... I'm still really torn between *just* getting this set, or going in for the Shadow Convoy + the Shadow Power set (on top of already owning V-Max Convoy). On one hand, it feels like blowing an extra (at least) $300) vs (probably?) $130.... But it was Battle Buffalo and Red Lightning (Dia Battles) that really got me to cave and go "all-in" on the line. I'd originally just told myself i'd get *just* the Black and Red color schemes... the Verse guys made it *really* hard to stick to that.... I'm also curious if VERS is basically going to be the go-to play pattern from here on out. They'd probably get me to dip on a Dia-Battles there where the chest is basically another VERS Core... (sigh). I'm less sure how they'd adapt that to Battle Buffalo though...
They're ditched, along with both bullet modules plus one of the new ones and both of his rfiles. Some folks thought they could see red in the backpack and there is but I've been playing around with my BC and there is no way the arms could be in there, they're just too big.
