Hey does anyone have any recommendations for scaffold/diorama/"base" props like these? I started searching around for 1/60 props but couldn't find any clear brands or lines... surely Japan has heaps?
All three of those pictures are using kotobukiya mechanical chain base kits, near as I can tell. there’s two different main kits: Mechanical Chain Base R (A) M.S.G Mechanical Chain Base R (B) In theory you can combine them endlessly to make bigger and bigger sets. I’ve only ever done 4 though. Plenty big at that point. and then various parts, mostly by kotobukiya in their “modeling support goods” line, you can add to them.
There was more different sets but they're out of production now sadly. There is a ko called machine nest or something like that but they're incompatible with the genuine ones.
Anybody want to trade? I've got a DA-29 Battle Buffalo (Striker, Black) and I'm thinking I want a DA-37 Battle Buffalo (Moon Buffalo, White) for a team idea i had. But I absolutely should not have both. o.0
Big shout out to @glinthos for agreeing to ship some of the unwanted items in his collection to me on the other side of the globe. And being such a great guy he threw in a mint set of Diaclone prints! Thank you!!! ♂️
Not sure if this works... trying to link to post from 2018 with pics... otherwise I'll just re-upload.
Huh, I like the variety here, but knowing the aren't compatiable with OG units is maddening. That video of these make them look unstable. While perusing HLJ I noticed a bunch of effects bundles from Customize Effect and Builder Effects from Bandai. Do any of those work with Diaclone? obviously the items that use stands to orient the effects would work. But i'm wondering if any of those would peg into existing Daiclone items cleanly?
(Edit - man what is up with the secondary market prices on Tridigger?) Odd picture request if anyone has it. Waaaay back when, we all had a lot of fun putting Fansproject's Trianix Alpha alongside Dia-Battles V2. Anyone have Steelcore and can do a photo pair of it with Tridasher? I don't have my Steelcore anymore and I don't have a Tridasher either, but I have been trying to figure out what Tridasher reminds me of and I think it's Steelcore. Especially if you've got the Ruthen Soleron (the red one): I really liked the little "heartmaster" Soleron figures and the way they interacted with those toys, and while I've since sold all of mine I keep wondering how well some of them would have actually fit in with the Diaclone reboot. IIRC these Solerons were double the height (or more?) of a Dia-naut, but some of the mecha designs look like they'd gel aesthetically, at least.
I've seen some Warhammer 40k scenaries that looks good but they also are too expensive by my opinion. I know the Can you tell me which page was? I think i missed them and i need a new screensaver
