Yeah, TT is closely related to Hasbro so it isn't surprising that they both have similar practices that piss their fans off. But they own rights so many of my favorite franchises so I just bend over many times.
At least TT makes high end figures for us, I wish I could say the same for Hasbro. Although Classified is a step in the right direction.
Yeah, Hasbro is improving somewhat on their figures (paint apps still all over the place literally) so I'll give them that. But they are also re-releasing 10+ year old Star Wars vehicle molds with little to no improvements for 2-3 or more than we paid before. And most of those aren't even exclusives...
Yeah, the pricing killed alot of interest with the local collectors in my country. The Trivers...at the most I’ll pay is $70-80... Tbh I’m just waiting for Great Robot Base but some of upcoming releases like that Warudaros soldier (or whatever its called) is...calling out to me!
I will stick with this line until the end because it’s amazing. Everything you could ever want out of a toyline. I long ago quit collecting everything they release and seeing people bow out in this thread due to asinine pricing decisions is just frustrating.
Have we seen Verseriser 03 yet? I couldn't find any pics of it if they've been revealed. How reliable is Robot Kibgdom? They seem to have the best prices for the web exclusives.
There were some fruitily coloured 3d renders posted from last month's hobby Japan but I haven't seen anything this month.
They are great. However, shipping out of Hong Kong (especially to the US) is largely shut down due to COVID. Currently the only option they can use to ship is EMS, and the cost of it largely wipes out the lower cost of the actual product.
I use Robot Kingdom for all my Diaclone as I find that shipped they are still cheaper than the list price at US outlets like BigBadToyStore. I haven't had any issues with them. Like the person above mentioned though shipping to the US is surface only for now. Surface shipping is slow. My Gigantor is still somewhere over the ocean (maybe, maybe in customs, but it was processed through the outward office of the exchange a week and a half ago) and it shipped about 3 weeks or so ago.
Curious if anyone has found out a way to get stuff shipped to the States from A-E? They've shutdown all Stateside shipping since the pandemic broke and I'm starting to get nervous with all my Diaclone figs beginning to back up ... is there a reason they can't just charge more for DHL like HLJ has been doing??
Is there a holdup with DA-51 showing up at US retailers? I just realized I haven't been charge for it yet at TCP, though I lost track if that got delayed a bit too like Gigantor.
I have a similar situation with NY. I am considering asking them to ship everything by ferry, but that would mean partial refunds (I hope) on all the shipping costs. I did get my DA-52 from AJ at least. Shipped on Monday arrived by Wednesday.
just received my copy right now from AJP! Pretty nice although at $68 its a bit steep ... still better than paying $150+ for that space marines release about to drop
Marines version of DA-52, bwah?!? I just got my DA-52, and I'll echo the sentiment that I'm not sure if it's worth the ~$75 with shipping that I paid for it from AJ. It's still a really nice jet mode, though. I have almost no interest in using it as a combiner piece. I do dig that drop pod connector at the back. Makes me think the little Dianaut could go on an adventure to a distant plant and then suit up to explore all on his onesie. Side note, which face plate does everyone prefer? Flesh or visor? I was initially really excited for the visor version, but now that all of the recent releases have been visored, I'm kind of wishing for a mix of the flesh ones back into newer releases.
