Do the Diaclone figures, excluding mall exclusives of course, on amazon japan ever hit a 20% or more discount? Wondering if Anime Export really is the best path for me here. 3 tri-dashers adds up quick.
I assumed those were the mount parts mentioned but that's a sound answer. Yes, I really want to see the Drill tank one in some form at TTS next week, this line badly needs a drill tank!
Makes me feel good to see these lines dominating the market. Wow! Just think of how this will impact future R&D budgets.
I think you mean, "premium collector oriented pricing". If I'm to believe the MP Hound fanclub, anyway. Trydasher made me buy another diaclone set. Well, Anime-Export's preorder price made me.
I guess I'm back into collecting Diaclone. I pre-ordered all the upcoming sets, but I may have to wait a couple weeks before I can swing the few sets I skipped. Unfortunately I have most of my toy budget tied up in flex payments at Sideshow for Hot Toys and a Prime 1 Batman statue.
I really want to like this. I love the design, and I'm certainly invested in the hero colours in general. However, there is something about these pics that just don't jive as well as BP or Diabattles in that scheme. Could just be over-saturated product shots, or pre-production examples. Diaclone has wowed me surprisingly in the past..perhaps in hand reviews will do the same this time. Otherwise, feels like I might wait for the recolour. That being said, I love that it's a new system and the price is actually not completely insane (although not cheap by any means - never expected it to be).
Well with a year with a big powered and a battle buffalo re-paint, I am relieved for the smaller scale robot. Still only buying one of each still.
It definitely doesn't have as much going on as those two but once they've got a few different ones out I expect they'll be more to do with them.
Hehe...yes. I think the Japanese price is really fair for this, given its size and complexity and assured Takara quality. I know! I have this feeling once I start seeing the reviews and especially the combos, the Diaclone intoxicants could very likely overwhelm me yet again...

Definitely getting much more of a Gundam, even Fansprojecty kind of vibe off of this. Doesn't seem quite "updated 70s super robot" like earlier figs, looks like a much more modern design.
I agree. The drill looks dope. I’m not feeling the airplane one (at least the robot mode). Maybe it’ll grow on me. But I’m trying to avoid that chronicles vol. 2 feeling this time around. One of the very few reboot purchases I regret.
Let's take a look at flight mode from the box and the fifth foto. Takara just created a Viking from StarCraft II, wright?
More pics, harvested from Facebook Diaclone group this time: Oh so that's why the giant gun is attached to the chest lol Some titbits gleaned from Twitter: *More new Waruder machines in development to counter the sudden expansion of Diakron forces. *Tridasher PV was shown but is still under final adjustment, should be released in about a week or so after TTS.
For those curious (from the name placards in the Dengeki Hobby link): Tank/APC thing- Tridasher Jet- Trijetter Drill- Tridigger Edit: I need Tridigger very much. His drill hands make me happy.
I was wondering why it says special version? Is there going to be a different paint deco in the future? I'd really like to know because the color scheme doesn't exactly look like the original toy. If TT is going to give us a more toy accurate color, much like the original toy was later I'd rather wait for that one. I am only interested in this line for it homaging the original toys really.
