That's the crux of it but if you only have one cockpit block then you can only form one of those vehicles at a time.
Up to this point every separate vehicle in Diabattles, Big Powered and Battle Buffalo has had it's own cockpit, removable or not.
If they're showing these two separate vehicle modes this early it means they're official modes so the set should come with a second cockpit to make them both viable.

That's my thinking anyway, it does also tie in with the way the Victory Gundam operated which seems to be heavily inspiring this new system.

Ok. I gotcha. I’m going to guess it comes with one bullet, but I’ll be pleasantly surprised if it comes with two.

Happy Birthday @Maz hope your Diaclone passion will never fade, and I notice you've been doing this since early 2000? I see devvi.com / pretf.com credits you in some articles / FAQs

Anyway, after seeing how similar the Tri-dashers with the original, I'm all in :D
the small Dianaut module seems to homage the vintage toys, to a certain extent

You can take the kid out of Lego, but not....

Sorting and storage are one of the cornerstones of the other hobby. Felt like Waruder needed similar. Just a little side post...hope not too dull.

BTW, the wedge end of the Lego separator is great for separating the Waruder 'slices' without damage.

Sorting always gives me ideas, so...

Waruder Ballista - Heavy Anti-Aircraft configuration. I wanted to just have a larger, steady base that could both swivel and elevate, and had as many sky-bound weapons as I could reasonably put on it. A little goofy overkill, but oh well. It's late.

Old thread I know, but I thought I would share in case it comes in handy for anyone.

Since there is no chance of returning mine to the seller, or at least no chance of him replacing it, I had to opt for surgery on mine when this happened.

It's only 3 screws to get into the torso, thank goodness. All the parts have nice channels that hold everything in place and don't just sproing out everywhere. After an hour or so of examining and testing the mechanism, the issue is that the stop catch on the chair rail for the mech has a notch that usually adds additional (this is important that is it only additional) friction when the head is up. When you go to depress the head, a second latch on the wall of the torso is supposed to release another springed lever to release the head to travel on the rail. The notch on the rail was manufactured too close to the back of the rail. This means that that second latch never has a chance to release and in effect locks the head in place.

The fix is to file that notch on the rail down to a triangle shape, rather than a right angle. This allows the catch to still work, but not to lock into place.

The only downside is the head does not crisply spring up into action when you open the mech bay...it often needs a small amount of help...just a nudge or touch really. However, a small price to pay for what is now a fully functioning BP.

Here you can see the mechanism assembled. The bottom part of that arm travels forward once unlatched (not shown..it's on the other side of the rail).

That diamond shaped silver tab at the top corner of the cavity is supposed to release the catch inside of the sliding part that travels along the mech chair rail.

That notch on the rail had a straight 90 degree back to it. It was in effect locking it in place. I think if this part was manufactured about 2mm farther towards the back of the rail, all would work fine. However to fix it I modified the shape to now be angled on the contact point. More than enough friction to hold the head, but will now release.

I hope this is of some help to anyone in the same situation!

I was looking up the old Takara lines, trying to learn more about them... I know the are doing Diaclone reboot, but to me some of the MicroRobots from Microman are just as cool if not cooler. I really like the look of Micro Robot V. I wonder if they would ever consider some of the Microman line, not just Diaclone.

Microman has a history of popping up here and there. RM-1 was teased last year.

Well, i think we can fairly say that the modular aspect/interchangeability of the diaclone reboot line comes straight from microman.
To me this line (and probably that's the reason why an old takara addicted like me likes it so much) is the3rd millenium embodiment of all the takara sf legacy.

...oh, by the way, i love a lot the "new microman" designs too!!!

I would definitely buy a Micro Robot V if they did one a new one.
