I am really getting hyped for all this doll house furniture and vehicles... TCP should get my 4 sets to me by second week of February since it is smallish.
Beware! There lurks a more expensive and sinister force in the deepest reaches of space… The Lawyeruder are coming!!!
The Dianaut forces must stop them from getting past the bar. They must be totally, completely, and utterly destroyed, otherwise they will sue for Damages.
Snapped a couple pics of DA-93 earlier, for those interested in seeing how the slider mechanism is set up: Honestly, it doesn't feel great to use. The arm assembly pegs onto the body at the tail end of that red flap, which is attached to the cockpit & shoulder via the slider. When pushing the cockpits together it's easy to apply pressure at an angle that puts stress on the slider. Doubly so when you separate the figure, since those red flaps peg on tight. Gotta resist the six-year old in your brain telling you to pull this thing apart using the arms. None of this is a deal-breaker and the figure feels nice and solid when combined, but it definitely requires a gentler hand while transforming than I expected or hoped.
Speaking of which, I wish they actually had proper set numbers like you've given them. Makes things difficult when all we have is a name!
I agree it feels a bit awkward, unironically a bit like Buffalo (which this took fictional, and literal, design cues from. The first couple of times I played with it... I was actually having a hard time getting the wall of the 01/2 (or is it 02/3?) seated flush against the spine, so you can bring up the blue missile launchers to 'lock' everything in. I do think the shoulders may have been better served it they were linked 2 and 2 instead of a sandwich 2 and 1 with a post. I'll also admit the elbow/bicep feels a bit weird too. Nothing in danger of breaking... but just unusual. It's still one of my favorite sets in a while, to a degree even beating out the Tactical Movers/VERSaulters to a degree. Airborn and Treader are the only ones that really mess me up. Mostly because it's going to feel weird refering to a set as Airborn Treader or Chariot Gamma I suppose... I think the issue is that the equipment I don't think got specific designations so much as the release did. Now with Hawk and Argo, is there a different designation for their 'non-equipped' forms? I guess we'll wait and see.
Yes, sort of. To follow same format... Unequipped Versaulters would just be Hawk and Argo, like Gamma and Tread. The upgrades are the Orbithopter and Voyager, like Airborne and Chariot. TM-02 : Gamma Versaulter <Airborne Unit> TM-04 : Tread Versaulter <Chariot Unit> TM-12 : Hawk Versaulter <Orbithopter Unit> TM-13 : Argo Versaulter <Voyager Unit>
Good question, less friction would mean less torque from 'off angle' pressure. But it wouldn't necessarily fix burls or debris if that's an issue in the slide (not saying it is) [like messy snipping/molding flash].
Finally snagged some of those Exhobby stickers. God damn I was not expecting them to be this bright. Ended up with four sets due to a proxy buyer issue. I'll have to figure out how some users on Twitter got the head visor to glow.
- "I kid you not, he said that right to her face." "That dude must have a death wish..." Dia-Nauts catch up while waiting for their next deployments. Sometimes, I really just like to mainly play with the Dia-Nauts; but, standing each figure on nonferrous surfaces, without knocking some over, and getting them to emote takes patience. (Various Diaclone sets used with 1:60 Tomica diecast vehicles in 1:64 G-Fans shop and XCarToys dioramas.) Easiest ways I found were to either really "charge" the glow decals that go under the head just before snapping the head back on to photograph it or shine a small blacklight into the visor to make that decal really glow regardless...
Wow I totally forgot about adding the sticker there. I was wondering what that piece was for. I should have looked up a guide. Thanks!
not officially. Those are either STLs/Printed or a 3rd party KO. I know it seems like Diaclone has picked up some steam in the past six months or so... and maybe some of it is Domestic Retailers (US) waiting for their stock... but I'm just blown away that it seems like all the really interesting inventory that's been dropping these past few months have practically turned into vapor. Maybe it's partially because a lot of the more recent releases really lean into troop buiding... I'm not sure. The Raptor heads still floating around do kind of confuse me. They'd sold through once upon a time, but whatever stock got scared up... seems to be hanging on. For those looking for some of the more niche pick ups (and are new here) Diaclone Reboot (thechosenprime.com) Chosen Prime seems to still have a few gems. I would solidly argue that no Waruder collection/army isn't complete without at least one version of Bug and Raptor Head.... and As @Matrix Quest and others have pointed out those Dart Loaders (and the Gyros) are real gems, even if they shine brighter with power suits to add to them.
Quick snapshot to show scale of the new ExHobby lite scaffoldings! If anyone missed the first batch another is tentatively coming at the end of the month (could be pushed to early February). PM me for help outside Japan!
