Gonna resist the temptation, but I SO want to mod permanently Seige Omega Supreme into the repair bay for Dia Calibur... It works almost too perfectly.
Amazon.jp hasn’t shipped domestically yet (at least not to me). Hopefully they’ll start going out today! Also, for everyone else expecting from Japan, we do have several days off for New Years so if it doesn’t go out by the 29th Japan time it could be until the end of next week. (We don’t get any vacation for Christmas here so it’s a much earned holiday for many.)
My Amazon JP has him listed for arrival in the first week of January… looks to be a return to form for the hero colours and the pictures I’ve seen so far on the hk based Facebook group look amazing. Really looking forward to the little guy.
Amazon usually sends them out a bit early, but with the upcoming holiday as @TogeAtama mentioned, if they don't go out before, they may be a bit later this time 'round.
Cosmo versaulter fun! Currently have 3 of each open and fitted with ExHobby glow labels. I have also come to the conclusion that although these guys are pretty small, they each need a decent amount of space to really shine. (And so begins the quest for a larger space…)
Awesome shots! Yeah, I’ve found the fort chambers and the trucks/carriers demand a lot more room than I expected. While they’re not huge it feels like they sprawl a bit on-hand.
Payment request from AmiAmi just dropped in for DA-93. I was surprised I was quoted only 2995 yen for DHL shipping for that and MP Trailbreaker. IF AmiAmi gets this package out quickly, I could actually get those in hand by NYE, and if not, then I probably start 2023 off with those two. Nice! I love those GitD labels, I wish I could snag a sheet.
Just paid for my Dia-Guard geezer.. edit: purely by chance I found this- the great Johnathon Ross is one of us!! About 30mins into the video, it's Diaclone!!
All-in-all a great little video. I'm not sure all the crouched/squat poses were helping. I do really love the little bullet cores, and Cosmo Roller. I still kind of wish it came with at least one more pilot... but I'm sure by the time we get 'all the GRB sets' we'll be swimming in lil dianauts. Despite watching the video, I'm still not 100% sure what's going on with the shoulders/cores that make up the arms. It looks like something slides, but it may just be the cockpit (not unlike big bro Buffalo?)
Well, OK. 71 GBP shipped from Robotkingdom. I guess "Machine Set" means there's going to be a Base Dianauts Set?
They're effectively filler/alternates for the Dia Fighters and the DiaTrain for Ground Dion. The Cosmo Roller-D compliments the one that comes with Ground Dion filling out the empty bay in his (left?) other heel. "Machine" in this instance I think is just a general term that they're either 'multi-functional' or not specifically a [insert role here]. I'm really curious to see how the Dia-02/03(or is it 01) function as bullet cores for either DA-80s foot-tanks or as core replacements for the TriVERS. ---------------- size-wise I'm glad they fill that 'role' that the Tactical Movers fill.... as I still think the Tactical movers don't really blend well with the over-arching line (hence why they're a subline). Spoiler *swoon* it'd been a while since I had the Ground Dion product page open... it really is such a design/product of beauty. ------------------ *edit* @rikkomba in my tiredness I may have mis-interpreted your question. I'm almost assured we'll see another 4-5 naut pack with possibly a 'striped' commander and a bike or something. I think it was mentioned or teased that the front and rear 'garages' can hold at least two bikes each.
I was unaware of this Mechabot-1 until you mentioned it... I wonder if that's possibly where Takara pulled the BP Destroyer (and Red Lightning/Shadow) color inspiration from. There had been some chatter that Hasbro still may do a Selects Omega Sentinel... but I think that would be blue/white... not that lovely black color. Spoiler Super Change Robo: Mechabot-1 (Diaclone Omega Supreme) *Open/Complete* – The Plastique Boutique oh... this is all quite fascinating... I'd love a documentary regarding Grandstand Converters and how all the various European companies all independently imported/produced Diaclone- though I suppose it's probably no different than Hasbro licensing it- Hasbro just happened to outlast the others) Is it weird I'm almost more excited for DiaGuard than the VERSaulter Hawk? It'll be nice to get back to the 'main line' for a bit. We probably won't get comprehensive lore for GRB 2.0 until Cloud Across is announced or gods forbid a boxset that is GD+CA (full GRB).... But I'm wondering where this new GRB stacks up compared to the original. I'd have to troll back through the thread, but it seems pretty apparent that the new one will dwarf the old one in size (and features). But I'm curious how that will come across (if at all) in on-going fiction.
TBF, if I had got a DA-65 first, I would have thought twice before getting into Tactical Carriers. Regarding the Versaulters, instead, I see them as an upgrade over power suits, with a more natural presence than Trirambler - which looks cool in red, but is indeed out of place everywhere you put it.
Agreed. I do feel that Tactical Diaclone has it's 'place in the lore' and 1/60 world, but when squadded up with Dia Battles, etc... it feels like it clashes... as PMCs or 'front line assault/defensive forces' I feel they fit. They fit in with the Cosmo Marines (and not just in color pallet-though that helps). I agree Rambler is always going to be an 'odd duck' at least in 'vehicle' mode. though the A/B machines I do very much like. As a mech/action figure he's also one of the most posable we've got too... plus the fact he can balance with those massive wheels is... physics defying. Regarding the Tactical Carriers vs DA-65/Pod Grander (not counting Pod Gantry). I feel they still fill a niche that was leftover from not doing a new DA-19 9(Land Battlecruiser aka Big Powered 04/05) by providing a potential front line/recon group. It'll be a lot more fun once the other optional parts come out.
So what do you guys think the Cloud Across will retail for? I’m quite surely dreaming that I could run the purchase of even Ground Dion alone past my wife, but a part of me thinks it would be such a shame to miss out. It’s not like it wouldn’t hold its value either, and I could probably gather a few limbs to sell… maybe some blood lol. So just wondering what the combined form might set one back.
