not sure what you mean by Product Guide, but TakaraTomy have a comprehensive site for all the modern releases Product Detail : dedicated pages for the releases - ダイアクロン オフィシャルサイト|タカラトミー Lineup : prices & ETA - ダイアクロン オフィシャルサイト|タカラトミー My own list - :: unexistance's — 60:1 scale pocket dimension
The Lineup page on the official website has a full listing of all the sets. Edit: Ooops... should have refreshed my browser before posting that.
I’m not sure why I was quoted in all of that, I wasn’t part of that conversation. But I will say that the problem is some people can’t help humanizing DA-93 more than they should in certain ways.
The 'lore reason' the E and F don't come with chambers is because they were designed to function without them (atmospheric entry and have the thrusters to bleed off the landing). With that said... it is annoying they don't come with them. If I had to guess for the E-type it just wasn't part of it's mold set-up (since it originall game with Big Powered) the F-type i'm guessing they wanted to keep the price down for the 'book bundle'. But the F-type was also supposed to be the experimental successor the E. I don't think it's so much that they're 'limiting production' as they just don't 'want to over produce' it sounds like in Japan, there's high competition for shelf space for a lot of these hobbies. Keep in mind that Diaclone is competing tangentially with SoC and Model Kit space. I'm also curious why Hasbro hasn't gotten Diaclone on their radar yet. It could be they don't want to 'compete' with Takara (and etailers/importers are effectively already meeting the global demand) Alternatively, I wouldn't see Diaclone selling well with Target/Walmart. Amazon probably wouldn't care (except there may not be a 'good enough profit margin').
IMO it's not an issue of anthropomorphizing more than one should as much as the natural human inclination to look for patterns and associations within physical structures and elements. A decent example (it's something that came up recently in discussion offline so i'm sharing one): Exploring Mankind's Neverending Quest To Humanize Technology The same way one might see a duck (or anything) in cloud formations. Or the way one might highlight long eyelashes on a camels face throughout the history of media precisely because they are long ( i chose to use eyelashes in this example instead of back humps). Anyway...IMO DA-93 lacks symmetry (well balance but i'l still use the word symmetry here). But i find Battle Buffalos head ...off putting as well so *shrugs*
But the fishbowl *is* the best bowl! But to each their own lol. I acutally do like that the taurus (fishbowl) was kind of our first scout/sniper/tactical relay of the suits. It could also be why the 'DA-93 thing' isn't as apparent with Buffalo (the less human head). I'm excited for Dia Guard, though I'm more excited to see how he'll pair with DA-80 (VERS BP) and some of the other TriVERS guys.
Is it just that it has boobs? It's less distracting than Battle Buffalo... They can start a new breastforce.
I think Buffalo is the better of the large mecha in the line IMO and I love the cockpit orientation. I am also extremely excited for DiaGuardian. Just so much small goodness and partsforming potential. Heck, I'm giddy about the little mini Cosmo Roller, one of the first, though incomplete, vintage Diaclone toys I picked up. I can't wait to pose it with my more recently acquired, moreso complete, vintage Gig Cosmo Roller... I totally get the lore. It is just the storage solution needs and having to keep them in separate places that is annoying...
*takes a look at Battle Buffalo* Yeah...that's it. I was so distracted by the craziness in the head area that i'd overlooked the other physical features lol. It's like....slapping yourself on the arm so that you notice the toe pain less
Fair points about the suits. I too am very interested in checking Cosmo Roller-D (also curious if we'll get other Roller-[insert other functions]). I do have a feeling Roller is going to be bigger than I'm expecting it too... but it rides a lot lower than the new Tactical Carrier would. I'm glad they tried it. I also find it interesting that if Dia Guard is 'taking the Buffalo tech to the next generation' that they went with one in the gut/torso and two in the upper torso, but also gave it a head. I'm also really curious how the pilots 'share duties'... I know the lore talks about synchronizing (not all that different from Pacific Rim?) but also one could argue that one pilot in Buffalo controlled the legs, one controlled the arms, and the other was tactical/weapons/logistics. With Dia Guard it's (central systems/legs) left/right arm? ------------- Very nice! I think that's the first time we've seen V-Max in shadow armor, and Power Convoy (reverse Convoy?) in Powered Greater.
Speaking of E-Type.... i can't recall at the moment but is it featured flying in any of the CGI videos released by Takara? Off topic: DA-32 Maneuver Sky Jacket is toy sexy. How i wish it was less of a "partsformer".
