Tri-rambler is almost certainly a homage to henshin cyborg cyborg rider… given Diaclone can trace its roots back to henshin cyborg. not my image, taken from interweb
I agree. I see where people get the Cy-Kill/Machine Robo Bike Robo comparison, but this thing LOOKS like Tri Rambler.
That’s the ticket. Cykill is just the source of the color scheme for the first release. I (jokingly) also submit to the court, for your consideration, a classic:
...All the recent photos I'm seeing on social media have the new bike's raid chamber as grey. All the promo images made it look black. It looked so good in that black and red combo... It is really disappointing that it isn't black; hopefully, it gets a black release later. Also, TT should really rerelease the Extra Pod Grander unit with the gantry... Being a non-designated set, maybe it is possible.
Time for an ass-out variant of Rambler. (It wouldn’t be objectification because it’s not sentient, right?!) I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of this mold. I was going to buy two, but I've decided to wait so I won't feel so guilty about re-colors.
I would absolutely love another opportunity to get the Pod Grander, because right now DA-65 is so off the table it's funny. Unless you mean the Pod Grander Expansion set? (was that TT Mall?) All the best Maz
It will be missing some of the exclusive contents of DA-65, though, is that correct? Like the rising tower/canopy isn't quite the same as the one you get with DA-91 from what I can see. All the best Maz
Right, it would be a different "version", with a unique command area and different features inside, but it would allow those that missed it to still enjoy having a normal sized Pod Grander and the play space that gives you with just buying an "Extra" Pod. Of course, you can probably do that with two Gantries, but that would be pricey. (To be honest, the 3 Pod size "feels" the best to me, so getting 2 more would be my preference, but maybe we get yet another Pod variation in the near future...)
This is blasphemy, but I'm thinking if I do get Pod Gantry that I will make it a permanent repair bay for Dia Calibur, and not use it as a vehicle at all. The combined Verse Calibur won't fit in the main repair bay, so Gantry would save me having to build something. Maybe the vehicle mode would be an emergency escape mode or something.
My current favorite thing is just a simple build... - "Crap! One of those things got into the factory! Don't let it near the munitions!" My original build, a Waruder Skitterer - a small unpiloted, dual-missile pod drone. Sent in to soften Diaclone targets before Waruder forces move in.
DA85 forced me to do something which I haven’t done in a long time: refer to the instruction manual. some of the clips look quite fragile…. Not sure if I want to go through the de-armoring process again. Anyway pics! Land unit Air unit DA65+85+88… the shielded sword can’t seem to fit on the new arms. Am amused that the rifles are exclusive to DA88 Primes Some random mecha
Those on the leg units which peg the parts together. Will snap some pics later Here we go… these are pretty fine and look like they could snap once the plastic turns “crispy”.
Noted, although they used POM plastic for those parts rather than ABS like the major assemblies. Should help mitigate concerns although it's one of those heavily environmentally influenced scenarios (UV light, temperature, humidity). Any day now AMJ!
Ya the fact that they separated those parts out and used a different plastic should mitigate some of those issues. These aren’t like the parts that broke on the first release of dia battles
Kinda bummed HLJ have now discontinued the Waruder Grapplers, just when I was gonna order another pair.. dagnabbit!!
