Looks freaking cool. hate that they took away the “dia-clllloooooone” jingle from the logo at the end
Yeah, I get that they wanted to differentiate the Tactical Mover line from the main line, but I wish they’d just used a modified version of that signature closer. I’m sure any upcoming promo videos for the main line sets will keep it.
WOW, they look Fu#*ing awesome. Its a lot bigger than i originally thought too, and thats a good thing. I am glad i pre-ordered 4 of them. A nice little fleet of these will look dope. I think the main thing that differentiates this line from the main line, is that the vehicles and machines in this line, do not transform into any type of robot mech themselves. Yes, they are an integrated part of the line and Diaclone force, but they are more in the logistics area of the Diaclone forces. No need for the truck itself to change to a mech suit, but these bad boys will transport the mechs to wherever the battle needs them. Transportation of equipment, fuel, ammo, reinforcements, etc, are a vital part of any army. In my mind this secondary line fills that part. Yes they will have weapons on them, only makes sense, but they can change out their own equipment as needed for whatever role the battle dictates. They can become communication vehicles by rolling into secluded spots, and swapping guns out for radar, or sattelite equipment. They can be recon, or scout vehicles. Medical trucks bringing a mobile surgery room. Or, of course, transporting the mover suits into the "thick" of battle, or that perfect strategic spot on the battlefield to win the day. No need for the vehicles in this line to transform themselves into robot mechs, its not their purpose. Instead, they can turn into a forward command base, or an evacuation shuttle, thats the purpose for them. I think it will enhance the line as they keep on releasing options to fill the roles of logistics. As long as it doesnt take tooling and resources away from the main line, then i am all for it. Anything that enhances the main line, is welcome in my book, and these guys look awesome.
Still enjoying playing in my recent display... This Gyrosepter and Medic Type-D have been my primary field rescue unit since shortly after getting into the line... Many a Dia-Nauts have been saved by this unit's unique ability to get in and out of a combat zone fast or to clear an evac route...
Somehow, I didn't pick up on the grated flooring on the ramp before... that's... really flipping smooth (even if we probably can't wedge little dianaut toes in there for climbing action). Part of me is kind of hoping we'll get some kind of crane/loader at some point for these massive Fort Containers. You bring a great point about the 'off-beat' needs/demands for mobile/armored infantry. I'd love to see an AWACS system (ye olde radar dishes) for some reason the VE-1ELINT always seemed so cool to me (even if it's sensor/head as kind of daft compared to the VF-1S). That would actually be a really cool job for some of the V-Movers or some of the bipedal 'hopers'. I think Mech Warrior had some small radar extending scouts. I'm really hoping we'll see some kind of jeep/rover to go with it, and ideal some TTM Camo designs. Did you ever get the opportunity for a DA-19 Land Battlecruiser? That set pulls so much weight for me, and still manages to wear more hats than the newer DA-80 modified 04/05 units in my opinion. Between the manipulator arms, the turrets, and the troop seating, and treads that turn into dual-slug cannons... Kind of surprised we never got it in any other color variations.
I managed to get a few buying collections. One had a sheered post for arm, but got that one reduced. It was the first set I hunted down outside of etailers. I agree it works better than many of the later ones. I was actually planning to pack one for my vacation in a few weeks as a travel playset. It is more feasible than a Pod Grander.
A crane for these would be very cool, maybe in GRB's legs or something they could fit a loading dock in.
Wow, that Tactical Mover looks way cooler than I gave it credit for, packed with play value as is this line's signature. Amazing pictures @Matrix Quest! Also agreed on the Land Battle Cruiser, I had a great deal of fun with that set, especially the Dia-naut seating. Also loved how it always looked like a train. All the best Maz
DA-85 dropped on HLJ over night, time to hit ship, should have by weekend. Surprised at lack of pics using both it and DA-89 EDIT: Yeeeowch that shipping. I guess I could of just shipped a few items instead of my entire HLJ stack (17ish decent sized items) but over $200 for shipping is a new record...
Speaking of trains, still waiting to see a six link of this bad boy from someone. Hopefully this weekend, I'll be able to get into storage and rescue my Diaclone crate and do more comparisons. I had that happen to me once with MP Megatron 2.0 and Unite Warriors' Devastator... that shipping bill *sucked* it probably would have been worth eating the 45% restocking fee....
I mean overall considering DA-85 at HLJ is $50-75 less than western etailers have it at I am fine with the trade off lol
Waaaaait, there's a way to turn a big powered into a decent looking by using all the pieces?!? I need to see more pics!
I was hoping for something that actually resembled a instead than a glorified ground carrier, but thank you. They look cool!
Oh nice! I regret not picking up the DA-38 set when it came back around about a year ago. Oops. But I did get 2x DA-26 sets and I'm happy about that I love the green and purple, on the dark cathode. Goes really well with dark ripper, too.
Ah, TCP still aren't shipping to Australia No idea why - I contacted them a while ago and they said it was due to covid, so I said everyone else in their area is doing shipping to Australia, and they said they'd look into it... but it seems they did not TCP is a US store, and I have received several shipments from the US in recent months. No idea what TCP are doing or why.
