I just got notice from BBTS that my restock preorder of a DA-22 (Beta) would be in stock soon. So, that one did come through. I was guessing it would with other sites also offering them at the time. (I just needed an 8th one bad. ) Congrats!
Nice!!! Where'd ya pick that up from? I've been holding out on buying Convoy second hand mainly because of the price, but also because I have hope that TT may do a Shadow Pod Grander. I know a few others here are hoping for same. Edit: Ripper just hit my POL, now I'm just waiting on Big Powered and I'll ship it. Ahhhh so excited!!
Got it from Kapow. They did a facebook post last week mentioning that they had it in stock. Since i missed out on the initial release last year for lack of money, i grabbed the chance this time.
Nice! I have my DA-80 plus the black version of Battle Convoy scheduled to show up tomorrow from TCP (plus the Warudaros redecos).
Nice haul, V-Max's box really took me aback when it came in... biggest (or certainly widest) one they've done yet. Yeah, my Ripper just shipped too (thought it was going to PoL-whoops) debated about snagging a second but I see BBTS has them up for pre-order again- so whatever they got in, they shipped out I guess. Next trick is hunting down all the 'accessories' now... unless you snagged them along the way. I'm jelly... I'm also getting really salty with BBTS taking so long. I keep telling myself 'eh it'll get here when it gets here'... but my obsession with Ripper has almost fizzled out waiting for the bugger... but I'll be happy to get him and tinker with him. Now it's the question of, do I get a second so the solo Waruder Legio[n] can have a Hanger Raider too... or wait and see if they do another 'expansion' kit.
Just wanted to post this latest stop motion! (Not mine) I really love this guy’s work - I get old school RPG vibes and everything.
I have gotten notice my DA-81 has shipped from TTM, and AmiAmi has the others in stock (but mine are grouped with other stuff so will not be here for another week or so. Also, sorry for going somewhat silent on the thread - dealing with some things at the moment but will a bit more active in a couple weeks!
these almost as painfully short as an episode of D+ programing... "oh, it's just getting interesting!" *episode ends* T_T For a hot second I was wondering if that was the new Mega Grappler, but I don't think it is.
Yeah, my Grapplers and v2.0 Nauts show in stock at AmiAmi now also. Just waiting for invoice... They give you shipping options and I think figure each one manually which can slow down invoicing. I appreciate the savings, but the delay... I hate shaky cam... I had to stop it as soon as mech scene started. (They had to do it intentionally.) Not a great mix for those with vertigo issues.
Yeah, I think days of work (at least) went into making that. He said in a comment on his last video that he wants to make them longer and has loads of ideas, but it's a lot of hard work so there's a good chunk of time in between videos. Really hope he keeps at it though! Apologies! I admittedly didn't think of that...
No doubt! I'm glad he's got the drive to keep at it, and the want to do longer. I've seen many a 'behind the scenes' of stop motion... and those tend to be with full studios and staff... If you're a one or two man show... I can only imagine. Shaky cam is probably an easier way to 'imply action' with less frames, so I can't blame them... but I do feel for the unfortunate side-effects.
Don't sweat it. You didn't make it. You just thought it was cool to share. (Anyone who had the skill and wants to get rich, design software to remove shakey-cam effects. There is a huge community of folks that hate it, but directors refuse to listen.)
Just remember, it’s not BBTS that’s “taking long” it’s situations beyond their control that are impacting shipping and distribution across the board.
Agreed. The real question is how is TCP getting around those problems... I know The Chosen Prime in Arizona is close to the west coast ports. Big Bad Toy Store ships from Wisconsin and TF Source is having the same problem and they ship out of Pennsylvania, so maybe west coast ports are doing better than east coast?
Not sure, they may be using different distributors? West coast ports are pretty bad too, and there’s been railway theft in Los Angeles on top of any supply chain bottlenecks. Not saying the latter has impacted our dear vendors, but it is added strain on things.
