    Thoughts on the full reveal:

Especially taking into account the relief/pleasant surprise from the (relatively) low price point, I really like this. The variety of weapons and coloring feels like it will fit in anywhere and lend itself well to customizing. I always preferred these more tactical looking colors and designs over flat out hero colors, so this subline may actually help me to tailor my collection from here on.

I also really like the machine mode. It feels like a mini drop ship of sorts. If this is any indication of the direction the subline is going in I’m all for it.

I’m in the same spot… except I’m also thinking about a fourth and a fifth too… but just 2 for now. On the basis that we’ll probably see other versions revealed before the May release. (Cosmo Marines please!)

Agree here, but I’m also just happy that it seems like they’ll have numbers included.

Darn - 5 of them do look really good together.

I started with two but am also debating more... Trying to determine team desired sizes when and when not pairing with smaller Deltas. I'm pretty sure I'll add at least a third...

I have seven of DA-27. all bought in collections. Six of them are pretty much permanently on a Buffalo transport as they are just perfect that way. (I wanted one or two more, but expecting those to be impossible to get at a good price now.) My DA-27s are basically my SWAT team. They are also pulling double duty on Earth and in space. (No idea how they are going back and forth... Maybe a space elevator???) The larger new units may become my space units.

I never picked up any DA-27s (already hard to come by when I got into the line) and my only Buffalo stays in bot mode. I like it fending off soldiers too much to use it as a transport. Wish I had two to do that with though. If they do a version up I’ll be all for it.

So yeah, as you said it’s hard to visualize what a full team/squad would look like. I so wish TT would give us an upfront overview of what’s coming in what color. I understand this is hard to do (as they likely need to clear quotas to produce additional items) but it would really help people build unique squads rather than just needing some of everything.

As it is my “OCD” (wanting things to be coherent) is constantly at odds with the completionist in me.

I hear you, but I also like the unknown as what is available drives my stories in unexpected directions...

I bought a cheap broken Buffalo (where one arm peg had sheared off) on eBay a while back as an extra. I was happy to give it a home, just to use the ground unit as a transport for my Gammas.

I reckon this will be worth getting just to see how you can reconfigure it in this mode. I do hope they do some other variants of it in future too!

Too many posts to quote w/o blowing out the tread… so I’ll just generally comment. That animation for the cockpit was amazing. I hadn’t caught previously that the front extended forward. Very classy and realistic.

    upload_2021-12-8_1-42-38.png

So glad they did a comparison chart with darn neat everyone in the Diaclone Corp! The suit is kind of at a weird size for me… (but I appreciate the price point). My knee-jerk want is to say, “I’ll take five or six!”. But being large enough to be it’s own vehicle (basically). But also literally beteeen the PS and Triverse….. these feel more like support/assist or siege breaking suits for the PS… while…. I’m not sure what they bring to the table for the Triverse squads.

Though size-wise, these new VFS frames are the same size as the LegioCores for Waruder... so I wonder if ths is going to tip the hand that we'll get VERiser or SkyJacket style upgrades to "keep up' with the Waruder. A new SkyJacket that would take these VFS frames up to Dia Battles size would be intense.

I find it funny they took VERS tech and “shrunk it” lol. I may also have to re-read the page… but we’re they arguing these were going to be more versatile?! (Perhaps from a solo unit prective?)

i think I’m going to with, as a lot of you have stated, and do two. That feels like a reasonable amount for an escort or scouting group.

Oddly enough had these come with raid hangers like their little brothers… that might have pressured me into getting more.(Leaving budget and space for Esplilon or Delta or any other variant they do).

Also... I don't know if it was mentioned yet... but that T design for the tactical subline is basically the mounting system used by the shoulders and hips for the core units. Neat!

    ----

On a sidenote... Thinking of the new VFS frame and it's potential... really just keeps making Rippe blow my mind that it can go from VFS (roughly double power suit size) up through two more size classes (Triverse/Solider) then up to Diabattles.

Definitely getting 2-3 of the new suit, and probably one each of the first two or three redecos.

Killing time waiting for my Gigantor and all, decided to see if I could get Trirambler and V-Max together for a rapid deployment mission. Went without a hitch, Waruder incursion neutralized. Gigantor last seen in Chicago area, all units on alert. B7D3E6E8-F4C0-4500-9235-4522A00D8AC7.jpeg

That's almost got some Mad Max vibes... I dig it though.

    Huh.........
I'm getting ever so slight GO Bots Crasher vibes from the Tactical Mover in that comparison image. More so from the animated form. I know some might find that disrespectful (lol) but it actually makes *me* like the Tactical Mover more.

That, right there, makes me hope that there will be a grey version of this design, because that is very much reminding me of Metal Gear Rex.

    Three more to go :D

Hopefully TT does not take too long, unlike the 5th release of 40th anniversary tf_pre_tactical-mover_4-release.png

I was recreating this build with a flinger and a raptohead set and I can't for the life of me figure out how they have attached the missile launchers on the back. The only peg we can't see in the pic is the one facing the bottom. Any ideas?

They’re not attached to the back, they’re in the ports under the arms that fold out. :)

Just looking at the Cathode type Raptor head set, could they be using one of these red cross-members? A1530A95-7CA2-46DB-BAA7-4FB49920F48B.jpeg

I tried to tell you about that yesterday, buddy, before the animation went up! :D

    See this post.

I love that animation though, and the cockpit design is super cool! Really looking forward to getting this one!

Ah, that's why the arms are out a little bit in the pic. Thank you!

You’re welcome! Yup, that’s why the arms are out a bit. Nice job putting together your own Mega Grappler!

It will be great to have that build in its own set and not have to sacrifice a Raptor. :D
