Whew. Armada Prime, I'll need more information. Is he a standalone Armada/ML figure, or the first of many? I don't need a one-off. Star Convoy from the PotP OP mold is fantastic - He's perfectly sized to go with Dai Atlas, et al., and since I've retired PotP OP with the new Siege figure, I won't have mold-mates as different-ish characters. Looking forward to seeing how they've retooled Orion Pax - there's no canonical choice that makes sense, but they could go a few ways (my guess is he'll look Convoy-ish; more square legs, OP head).

 

Awesome awesome awesome. That armada Prime is soooo good. Sold on the star convoy as well. Too bad one of these designs aren’t being used in the new IDW comic. Those headsculpt are incredible. A lot of faith is being restored by these guys after the disappointment that is siege galaxy convoy.

Don’t understand the bumblebee at all, but I’m happy for those who want this kind of thing I suppose. Not for me in the slightest. What an absolute mess. These new g1 MPs have no cohesion at all.

Yeah good call, those feet look mistransformed there. ‘At the very least’ that blue window part on the back of his feet that you highlighted, folds up and tucks in underneath his legs so there’s no gap there, the slot is even cut exactly the same shape.

I suppose it had to happen one day... Even Takara has mistransformed a figure that’s on display now!

It's like Tom Brady torn his ACL while designing MP44 and Mark Sanchez took over, WTF.

 

I wonder if Star Convoy will have the same Matrix core as POTP Optimus and Rodimus or if it will be resculpted into the Zodiac or something. Or maybe he’ll include a Primemaster that looks like Hot Rod.

 

To add to that it also looks like his backpack is mistransformed a bit. Seems like the top window should fit snug over the other windows up there along the curve, the mid panel back there below it would also swing down, and maybe that bottom flap will rotate at the metal pin there and then the entire backpack would be fairly flush. Look better at least.

If not I hope the 3Ps are paying attention to this post lol

 

One of my gripes with Jetfire is that while his hands do open, he has 5mm ports stuck inside them. Why go through the trouble of articulated fingers if you're gonna do that anyways?
