Great video, thanks for putting it up.

I've had him for a while now and he's possible my favorite figure. If you go by shear numbers, he's not the most articulated bot, but thanks to the way he's built, the articulation he has is way more usefull then in a lot of other transformers. Thanks to his solid design and stable joints he can pose in a bunch of dynamic ways with little effort to maintain balance.

Oh, and I'm also still going to get the Hasbro one.

You generally do a good job of keeping your arms out of the way of the figure, but if you could get behind your camera your reviews would be dramatically better.

I absolutely, 100% agree. He's extremely straight forward, but just magnificent in play. I'll be buying the Hasbro version too, even.

Adding another pic. to the first post.

I have no reason to buy two Hasbros, but it really is a nice figure. I was definitely impressed, and honestly it got me excited for the rest of the MP line in general.

Added two more pics: A detailing of the trailer in base mode, and one of Optimus in a more PVC-esque running pose.

Honestly, it varies man. I switch it up depending on light, the kind of focusing I want, etc. etc. My main three are the D7000, D4, and D800.

Added another pic showing off the storage mode for his canon.

Just have to say: holy crap TJ I love your photography! You make awesome figures look awesomer (see, e.g., this thread), and even figures I couldn't care less about shine.

man i totally love your pics <3

watched your review too! not too shabby!

I think the only thing i'd have to say is dont forget about the little flippy-flap under his elbows. they fill in that little gap in truck mode

[i totally didnt even notice they were there when i first got my own MP10 lol. they're kinda easy to miss, but its a nice detail for truck mode :D  also the rear view mirros flip out a little bit too. probly just forgot in that pic but xD sorry. im not tryin to nitpick ya! just goes to show how far Takara went with the detail on this sucker! its crazy!]

    Hey, thanks Josh!

And, totally didn't notice that even going by the instructions. I appreciate the point out, and I double-appreciate you being able to give a tip without coming off like the only reason you'd ever comment on something is to try to nitpick.

    That's an awesome little detail!

    **HIGH FIVES**

And OCProwl - Thanks man! I was just telling someone last night, that when I take a toy photograph, my goal is to make the person feel like it's right there in front of them, so definitely glad that people can enjoy.

Great review and pics TJ. I picked him up at BotCon last month and I'm in love. I even let my destructive 4 year old son handle my DVD edition MP-01 version because I like this one that much better. Even though there is no earthly reason I need it I am totally picking up the Hasbro version when it comes out. It fixes the only complaint I have, the dead looking eyes and I dig the lighter shade of blue as well. If you watch some of Dr. smoov's masterpieces on YouTube you can see that Prime was at times animated in the lighter blue.
