As a Canadian, it's always cheaper if I buy from Japan and pay the shipping cost than buy it from Canada/US stores. Even better if I use places that do combined warehouse orders, like HLJ.

 

Received Star Saber and Exhaust from HLJ today! Tracking on Friday said Wed. So unexpected surprise when the doorbell rang. Both look awesome.

I always like and look forward to Charles' reviews. I don't need a doctoral thesis presentation in HD, I just enjoy his no frills- good attitude quick looks at figures and have sense enough to know when a fellow human being has just overlooked something on a brand new figure.

Looking at how everything adds up, it's like the discount never happened. (and Star Saber was the only discounted figure I bought) If anything I think I paid more  

$115 for Saber, $75 for Bee, and $192 for Soundwave. (these are estimates) plus 71 bucks shipping

 

My order from NY (shipped EMS) made it to JFK yesterday and no further yet. It feels like I've waited nearly my entire fandom for this guy (never having gotten around to purchasing an original) so this week is going to be pretty cool

 

I had store credit and a gift card I received for Christmas, that paid for the bulk of my Star Saber at TFS. Plus, I like their Customer Service.

I try to buy most of my MPs from HLJ or AE, as I know they will arrive a little more quickly. Most everything else I buy from TFS, BBTS and just recently TCP.

I've had no issues with any of their Customer Service, and the statesiders go above and beyond in that area. 

Update: Just got word from TFS that their shipment has arrived and they will start shipping out orders starting tomorrow. Thanks TFS : )

 

I know what you mean. When I first learned about Star Saber back in 2002-2003 I instantly started hoping for a modern toy to be made. And now we're there! Really all we've gotten between then and now is the Robotmasters figure (and Kabaya kit based on that figure).

I just have to wait for mine to clear Chicago customs now. >_<

 

is star saber much taller than magnus? was going to put him with rodimus and magnus but magnus only just fits... might have to go in the double detolf with my dinobots

 

How much is HLJ shipping of MP24 to US/Canada? AE costs 4000 yen for EMS. My MP22 from HLJ was 3400 yen, cheaper but not by that much. Both are too big for SAL

 

He's just a few inches taller.

I just got done putting mine into combined mode for the first time and I am just blown away. It hits every mark for me. Every time I handle him I find another point of articulation. Yuki hit it out of the park. I can't wait to get him and Great Exkaiser standing back to back.

I'm so glad that this release has had such a positive impact with the US fanbase. I'm also glad to see so many Star Saber fans. Props to hlj.com. I ordered on Thursday via Fedex and I got it today. Their service has seriously improved since I ordered from them 5 years ago.

 

Hmm still no shipping from AE, this is a first.
