I was in this camp. I now have the TR version in hand and the browish grey is a real turn off to me. I may return it and just keep the Legends version. Although PMOP is my favorite TF toy ever. The pros are that it's got a lot different between it, Legends and Ultra Magnus to make it unique. So, I'm not quite certain where I'll stand on it. Suppose I could justify having both as the different versions are different characters after all.

If he wasnt 2nd place I am shocked, shocked he didnt win that poll ( but glad as I love Star Saber and this is the only Star saber we have gotten since Victory ) and shocked they would make BW OP before the runner up. ( Not that I dont like Beast wars, as I LOVE BW )

Ginrai was 2nd runner up though, so not all hope is lost  

 

And it is very likely with Star Saber removed from the poll now, Super Ginrai would easily beat out Micron Convoy. Most Star Saber votes would likely go to him next.

It does speak to how poor the original Micron design was though that so many people think it is in need of a significant update.

 

I think the same could be said of most figures on that list.

 

I'm actually planning on getting the rumored Powered Convoy repaint of TR PM Optimus Prime to be Delta Magnus since I'm a sucker for Powered Convoy as well as this being a good way to help set the TR PM Optimus mold apart further from Legends Super Ginrai even more as his own separate character. Speaking of Ginrai I'm now strongly considering getting him since he really does look nice.

 

That's probably my plan as well, assuming it happens. I love the deco of Delta Magnus/Powered Convoy.

 

I would definitely buy a Delta Magnus. I really enjoy the mold and the colors would be amazing. I've wanted it since first seeing the mold. Still might keep this PMOP. It's still unique among all of the options.

 

So is there any word of if there's gonna be a God Bomber coming out yet? I've looked around and found jack squat.

 

I believe it was Transmissions who reported a Deluxe Class Iron Apex/God Bomber in one of their leaks, and they haven't been wrong yet, so I'm sure we'll see it at some point.

 

I think this will happen.

The colors on this production sample are a little different from the stock photos.

The red seems more orangey, the blue is darker and the unpainted grey doesn't look so good.

 

Yep, I really dislike the feet. But then I want this to be Powermaster Prime from the Marvel comics (my favourite version of G1 Optimus -- i.e. the only one I don't dislike) and he had big, solid feet.

Everything else...looking forward to getting him.

 

I keep saying to myself skip this release, wait for the MP version that may NEVER come, but dammmmm that looks good.
