$75 seems completely reasonable considering after tax I am looking at $50 for the Hasbro version. The nice thing is, with this coming out a few months later, I won't have to decide if I "need" it until I am able to mess with the Hasbro version.

I usually buy Takara Transformers because they usually have a better paint but this is a tiny pic, how people can say that it is superior to Hasbro version?

I do not see big differences to justify the higher price.

Hey look a coherent color scheme on the shark mode! Who would have thought that was possible!!

So apparently since the chrome wasn't so popular over here Has/Tak decided.. "Well fuck the rest of the world, put the chrome on the Hasbro versions.. All the chrome.. Make them import the all new non-chromed Takara versions now! We'll screw them out of all the money some how dammit!" *shouted as Vince McMahon*

I guess I figure that I'm paying a ton for little third party toys, so who cares if the most ideal version of Jetfire costs more than the regular ass version? At least he isn't a $120 Voyager. It's still cheaper than the Classics version from 2006, mib.

I'm getting both Jetfire's. I'll make my decision on which one I'm keeping once I have both I hand. From not having one as a kid to having 2 as an adult is pretty cool though lol.

Given that these are retail releases, barring something weird (like how AmiAmi didn't list the first wave of Lost Age Movie Advanced figures until the month after they came out in Japan), yes of course they'll get them, as will AmiAmi and Hobby Search.

Checking HLJ/AmiAmi now and unless they're hiding the listings, no they're not up yet. If you want to preorder from one of the Asian sites, you'll want to monitor that site and Twitter (if you use it) around late afternoon/early evening. Unfortunately there's rarely a set time that Transformer preorders go live on Japanese retailers, unlike Tamashii Nations drops.

I wanted the little colored circuit details like on the original Sky-Byte, one of the things that made him much more than just a Cybershark repaint. Hoping when we see final and more up close pics that is the case. Otherwise, as much as I like the better shark mode, I don't see the point for the price.

I do like the extra details on Jetfire, though it'll be interesting to see if the figure actually keeps those extra paint apps on the final product when Hasbro didn't. (Takara, generally, do pay more attention to these things in my experience).

Don't think I'll double-dip though, Hasbro's is fine and I don't fancy the import prices on such a large figure.

Still want to see a Takara version of the Skids figure, seems as though that's going to be ultra rare if it doesn't get a reissue :(

It may be better for non-US buyers, but me personally, I've largely stopped using Robot Kingdom because their shipping rates have gone up so much that even with orders of multiple items, the cost of shipping added to their price averages out to the equivalent of picking it up from US online retailers. It's not even worth it to pick up TFC stuff directly from them anymore for me due to the lack of savings.
