That'll be pretty hard now that Takaras dropped Transformers like a greased infant. LOL. TAKARA IS STILL BETTER!!
it took 3 pages, but the roflcopter launch was a successful one. the ministry of lol thanks everyone for contributing.
Hey, IMHO, Takara's CR line brought TFs back to how they were supposed to be. Everything 5 years before and after has been blocky, neon-colored shit. We have them to thank for the RiD line. Ill pass on Energon and 99% of Cybertron. But keep bashing Takara. The only reason they failed is because of the market. I want to bring up one more point up for discussion. The packaging of the toys. I know my CR line of TFs fit nicely back inside the packaging whenever I want to put them back. They package designs are superior as well as the method. Hasbro seems to arbitrarily throw twist ties all over their toys like they were trying to alienate the same children they make these toys for. My VP and Starscream 2 pack took nearly half an hour of tugging, twisting and pulling just to get the fucking things out of the box. As far as having a box to put them back in? Forget about it. I guess what Im trying to say is Car Robots>awl
I'll be the roflcopter doesn't have ding dongs I am but a humble servant of the ministry *bows* Have fun, all!!!
we, people from the future of 2006, welcome you to year 2000! seriously, yes, CR reignited the interest back in vehicle TFs and lead to RID in the US. meanwhile, the much maligned armada score top 3 in hasbro's cross branding sales, and supporting TF all the way through when the movie eventually comes out (hopefully soon). whats you point? got epiphany?
This is the only point you have made that i even somewhat agree on. But even then it's still only a matter of OPINION, not of FACT as you seem to present it as. It's been a long time since I've imported anything, then I started tracking down the Takara Beast Wars toys. The packaging is wonderful... not necessarily the design, I prefer the motif of the Hasbro stuff... but the plastic trays and ability to easily remove and replace the toy at will is great. OH... and don't forget... if you hate on Armada, or Energon, or Cybertron at all, then you have to share the hate equally between Hasbra and Takara. They are PARTNERS.
pfft. and pay almost twice the price of a cyb deluxe for the sole reason so i can re-seal it. n-word, please. i still contend (subjective it may be) cybertron packaging is the best, with its tasteful graphic and layout and creative box design, best TF mailine packaging since....evah!
hasbro also has some really awesome exclusive figures in the mainlines, and they've been fixing takara's mistakes (yes, takara makes mistakes!) in a few figures like Exillion/Hot Shot. to hate on one company and praise the fuck out of the other is just stupid.
yeah, I adore takara for MP Magnus' chrome fading before I ever opened the damn box. that was just an awesome touch they threw in. likewise, I love how hasbro didnt see fit to include energon snowcat's head in the package.
