Throw out Cheetor, especially in any form that had a media appearance. I would use Wolfwire though, as he's never seen a second use in any form. Maybe if they get creative he could be another figure in the vein of Convobat and Megaligator where he's colored to invoke another G1 character who never actually appeared in BW.

Good point. I will admit that Clawhammer is the correct translation, but in my heart he is Lovehammer. I'd still think it would be funny to see tho. If anything, it's the debate for everyone's heart....

A reissue isn't the same as a new figure though. I mean by that logic, they just reissued Optimus Prime last year, did we really need seige, earthrise and studio series?

I think, in general, it's less likely that any sort of BW reference in Selects is going to be one of the big names from the shows (US or JP). Because Takara has input in the unified line, and so they'd likely be pushing to have their casts mixed with the US stuff.

That's why I think the idea of BW mixing with Chapter 3 is less likely than a full BW trilogy starting after WfC. While in the US you could maybe sneak in some of the cast in one last chapter...from Takara's POV you've got three series worth of guys that leverage tons of molds that never made it on US screens.

(It's also why I'm pushing for Hasbro to use WfC to seed the BW cast names in to the line now as vehicles so they hit the ground running during BW)

I wouldn't mind seeing PotP Optimal being repainted and slightly remolded to have a mouth plate to be Primal Prime w/ Apelinq for Selects.

There's one problem with that. Leo convoy and big convoy share the same last name. Now of course, so do rodimus prime and optimus prime, but those are two characters that have been established for years in America. And even then, the last time we got them in the same line was a line about primes. One solution would be to change both lio convoys and big convoys names to different last ones to distinguish them, but who knows? If we really are getting bw, id like to see all convoys. And maybe I give kids too little credit

I know it's not canon, but I wish they omitted the Kraken mold and included a character with the Lobclaw mold instead.

Kraken figure/mold is my least favorite. Think the fins not being able to fold back n bot mode bugs me, along with the backwards feet in manta ray mode.

Maybe not. But I think it should still be a consideration. Nonetheless, id like to see big convoy back, and why I suggested him here as a retool. Although he may be a new mold, I was suggesting him to fit in with the rest of the line selects

 

God Neptune in particular here? Because I'm not fond of how the color distribution on the combined mode of these turned out myself. But I do think the pearl white with touches of gold, silver and metallic teal on the individual bots is pretty unique. And while this may be a redundant comment (since most folks here order from Pulse anyway) I want to point out again that the high-res pictures on Pulse give a much better impression of how nice the pearl white looks (well imo atleast).

 

I mist admit. It took a while to warm up to the pearl white. But it’s very organic, and to be honest, they are the Seacons. What better color than pearl white?
