Question on the pre-ordering. For people that order early, will they receive the figure before than the people that order much later?

 

Everyone will get them at roughly the same time, from each site selling them. When it comes down to it, some sites may get there's a little before another, however. But from any particular store, they're likely all going to ship within a day of one another, regardless of when you order during the presale.

Anyone else find it kinda funny how all the other planets have all sorts of transformers of that color, Green Convoy\'s world\'s sole intelligent life seems to be Bulkhead?

Anyone else amazed that the only other members of Planet Yellow shown, besides Yellow Convoy, are Animated Elita-1 and Misha Miramond from Energon? Not even one version of Bumblebee being present caught me by surprise.

 

If SG Prime is teaming up with Megatron there may come a time when he steals the Silver Matrix and reformats into a more modern Prime toy. After that, hello new Generations Selects. Or maybe not.

 

So is Optimiss Prime/Yellow Splendid Convoy a semi-canon character now?

If so add her to the ever-growing fembot list.

 

Each of these teams/orders seems to be themed not only by color, but also by another aspect. White Order = cops, Green Order = (mostly) Bulkheads, Purple Order = (mostly) Shockwaves, Black Order = evil dark repaints, etc. For Yellow Order, it seems to be female, given all the characters shown are female, the female member of the Seacons goes there, and its Commanding Optimus is specifically Yellow Repaint RID Optimus (a version of the character that has been established as female in at least some continuity, and is drawn slightly more feminine here to boot). So unless there's a female version of Bee, he doesn't really fit in with the established theming of that order.

Also, you missed that Yellow Order also has UW Trickdiamond and Legends Blackarachnia, in their panel on the first page.

Go Prime is his own character. His "superpower" is being able to slash with his swords and traverse spacetime in the tears he creates with his blades. This allows him to pop up out of no where to help out in fights across the multiverse. Given that Coelagon's entire shtick is that he's substantially older then the average Transformer, the idea is that at some point Go Prime's wanderings combined with Coelagons age meant that they had met at some point in their respective pasts.

As a minor aside, Go Prime's weakness is that he can't stay and fight in any one place and time for too long, a weakness Scourge (Combiner Wars version) took advantage of, beating him and cutting off his foot, leaving Go Prime to question his skills and powers when he's found by Deadlock. Deadlock who's lost his way and is looking for a new mentor/master.

As I said briefly in my fast translation, each of the Star Powers are color themed, made up of protectors and inhabitants of that part of the spectrum of Primus' power and each protect a part of Primus' spark (and thus an idea of the psyche of the whole) in their own matrix (which may not form a traditional Matrix of Leadership container). The holder is a prime of their own.

Blue Big Convoy holds the Blue Matrix and is surrounded by Blue Troops, of every faction. Both Legends Straxus, being blue, were invited and joined the Vanguard, planting a virus into their teammates so they could take over at the right time. They decided that with Megatron Omega making his move, the time was right and joined him, angry over Primus' treatment of them and his favoritism of Blue Big Convoy. They were supposed to represent water in flexibility and change. They had the most diverse group.

White Gallant Convoy holds the white matrix (from Arms Micron Arms up Optimus with Shining RA) represents white justice and order, so most of his universe were police themed.

Green Kind Convoy holds the Green Matrix (the Creation Matrix from Galvatron II), representing green nature and harmony with the world, they shepherded beasts of all kinds in harmony, mostly populated by Bulkheads, but Fuzors, BWII, and other alt modes are seen.

Yellow Splendid Convoy holds the Yellow Matrix (POTP Predaking's Onyx Matrix), representing females and the light of inner strength (roughly), so females, but especially yellow females were the majority of the vanguard membership.

Red Sentinel Prime holds the Red Matrix (Toy colors Big Convoy's Matrix; AKA the one that came with Matrix Buster Big Convoy), representing fire, and fiery spirits, were populated mostly by "Burning Justice" redecos and very red Primes.

Black Go Prime holds the Black Legend disc (One of the discs from Go!, but it shares a design with FOC Ravage), representing shadows of uncertainty and the doubt within, populated by black redecos who's loyalty is questionable.

Purple Wicked Convoy holds the purple matrix (So far unseen), representing the will to change the world to suit their own means and the amorality that comes with it, populated mostly by Shockwaves and the monsters that all of them create.

Or something along those lines.

It'll be canon for me for sure. I'll take all the fembots I can get. Although my yellow prime is forever combined with Ultra Magnus since I lost everything but the core bot of that toy when I was a kid. Is yellow Omega Prime a fembot then now too? Or does the ultra magnus in the combo makes it more of a "Thembot"?

 

All we have to do is go back in time and ask Vector Prime.

 

Nope. Universe Optimus Prime (and his Spychanger version, because screw AVP) is still male.

Splendid Convoy just happens to look like him. She's a separate character.
Takara continuity shouldn't really be treated as canon afaic. Too messy.

My Primus Vanguard setup is actually going to be more like The Convoy from the Transtech stories.
Multiple Optimus Primes and other Matrix bearers like Blue Big Convoy and Sentinel Prime.

 

Are you saying she's a different, separate version of Optimus Prime from that Universe version, or are you saying she's not even a version of Optimus Prime?

Also, I would think that the imposition of "non-canon" wouldn't be particularly valid in Transformers of all things, given the general "everything's canon in some little continuity stream/pocket" thing.

Still don't understand your disdain for Ask Vector Prime, or your hangup about an extremely obscure otherwise-inconsequential version of Optimus being retconned to be female, but ok.
