Yeah that sucks, but I also don't want to pay $600 for a set that should cost less than half that.

Scalpers are scummy af, but they probably knew this would be a hot item.

And sadly I'm neither fond of Neptune's colors nor interested in a set minus 1.

Then stop posting in the God Neptune thread and whine elsewhere.

It is a bit surreal that over in the Netflix thread Aimless Misfire is whining about having a hard time finding retail figures and the evils of retail chains whilst also over in the God Neptune thread bitching and moaning about the evils of online exclusives.

Woah, that's a bit more than I bargained for from a simple statement, and you made a lot of snap judgements based on it.

All I was implying with that statement was that some people had to miss out under no fault of their own. I myself got all the Seacons and pre-ordered Neptune and agree with you about Hasbro not being at fault for anyone being unable to get their figures. You laid out a bunch of points as if I had several arguments against you, but all I was saying was that some people had to cancel due to these unforseen circumstances.

Does this happen a lot here? I've already given up reading the Netflix thread and this one is about to get dropped to.

Planning to PO this sucker, but I'll wait for King Poseidon to be completed before I take the plunge. (3 more sushi bots to go c/o DHL.)

Should it post my ordeals, about missing the King Poseidon preorder windows, but working my ass off to snatch up the small amount of extras of the first 4 off of Hasbro Pulse? Then to get the last two off of TFSource?

    No?

    Ok.

Missing the window for King Poseidon was kind of a blessing. If I went for RK, then I'd have been caught by the lock downs. My Seacons are being shipped via DHL. So a blessing in disguise as I'm gonna get the last 3 by June.

Just be patients big buddies! You'll be getting them though it sucks (the limits etc) but pitfalls of the hobby I guess.

Do yourself a favor, rather than just dropping a thread (because there is good conversation here) just use the ignore feature at your discretion

I do, and it makes the threads much better, as I'm apparently missing a lot of ranting in a couple of them. :lol

The Seacons are G1 core characters. If Hasbro had continued the way they did before siege the individuals Seacons would have appeared in the retail line after potp just like the Terrorcons did in potp itself. It's hilarious that this is even being argued against.

But, they DIDN'T - they moved on to a new trilogy. It's hilarious that this is even being argued. If Hasbro had any intention or desire to do the Seacons, they would've done the Seacons. Especially once TT decided they wanted to do something with the Seacons.

No they're not. They had no presence in the G1 cartoon, a handfull of appearances in the Marvel comic and weren't really characters in the Takara cartoon

Yeah, not exactly ''core characters'' by a long shot.

They're core characters to me. As a huge combiner fan, they left a huge impression on me. I distinctly remember the first time I became aware of them---I was in my parent's bedroom, watching TV while waiting for mom to get ready. (we were heading to the mall). Like a minute before it was time to go----the Seacon commercial came on TV. And I thought they looked like the coolest thing ever. Went to mall, went to Sears---and they already had Seacons in stock. Mom got me Skalor. (I kinda doubt I would have picked him above all the others, so it's possible he was the only Seacon they had).

It wasn't long before I had the whole team (though Snaptrap would have certainly been a birthday present).

But he was the last "true" combiner, and among the very last "traditional" G1 toys I ever got. (everything starting going to pretenders and micromasters soon after---Monstructor was basically both).

So to me at least, the Seacons are a core memory of my G1 experience.

I abandoned the other Seacon thread Long ago because of this.... can we put all of the King Poseidon / Piranacon complaining in the other thread so people can complain about God Neptune in here? :p
