This is interesting, I never knew this existed, but I should know better. In the world of Transformers, where heroic Autobots fight evil Decepticons there are always repaints. Except for Hound for some odd reason. There was never a G1 repaint for him.

 

I am so glad I held off on the G1 Seacons now. At that price point, I can't justify having both, and I prefer God Neptune's colors so much more than Piranacon/King Poseidon's, so I gambled on their making the redeco. Now I can relax.

 

There was a g1 repaint of Hound, into Junkion Detritus!

 

Detrius came out years later repainted from the Hound mold.

edit: anyway!! God Neptune!! I can’t wait! As much as I like the G1 Seacons, I absolutely love God Neptune’s colors. Hopefully he’s the next figure after Super Megatron and we get a 6th member.

 

I don't think that was too much of a gamble.

 

I'm just waiting for, "We teamed up with LONG JOHN SILVERS to bring you-!" as some horrid "battered" repaint is presented  

 

This time it will be a combined set in a window box

 

Not only this is more likely God Neptune probably as a set.I hope we get a reissue of the regular Seacons as a boxset and not only that but give us a G1 reissue of them as well.

Also, they don't have to leave out the lobclaw repaint. They could always do him up In red as Gimlet and sell the set as a "vs" box.

God Neptune came out 10 years after Piranacon, so it's a bit moot.

Anyway, I was fairly certain this was coming, but I wasn't convinced until they released an edited version of Ultra Megatrons comic entirely to make it clear that the last panel was Scylla, then it became a pretty safe bet for me. One of the many reasons I held back on the Seacons was the idea that God Neptune was coming, though I'm not that sure I'll get this either. I had a compulsion for Nautilator as he was one of my favorite G1 toys as a child and wasn't sure if he'd be part of this set either, even if he did get an original pirate deco. At least now if I do want them, they'll be a unified color scheme pirate crew and someone new to the shelves.

Like others, I hope this is successful as well and can lead to a new Liokaiser. I could never bring myself to get a "Liokaiser" that didn't have Leozack as a member, I'm too much of a Victory fan to allow that.

I am a bit surprised, at this point I figured as a "breath" between the seacon sets would be something smaller and cheaper, like a Hydra and Buster redeco, Sixgun as Blood, or someone that required no new parts to help stretch out the time and could fill the niche gap and give collectors some extra time between expenses.

 

Repaints are as certain as death and taxes.

 

Does this mean TakaraTomyMall exclusive again? This Time I'm not missing the damn pre-orders. The last release was a total nightmare. I'm still waiting for TFSource to get the last 2.

 

I love Beast Wars 2 and the space pirate seacons.
I sure hope i can get hold of this if it happens. 
... And then i need to get a Big Horn and Scuba toy as well to recreate the epic love triangle with Scylla. 

 

So much for the prices being because the molds were only for preorder with the first release. Happy for those that want this, but personally not paying the ridiculous prices they are.

 

I\'d say WELL DUUUUH but who didn\'t see they were coming? They are even in the manga released with the G1 Seacons. And there is a reason Tentakil has been remolded from the Moonracer femmebot mold.  I expect for Scylla they will make some mold changes to make her look more female.
Question indeed is, how close they will be to the original. Knowing Takara\'s insane cartoon accuracy fetish (just look at undetailed plain cartoony Lioconvoy MP), they will probably not include any weapons but the sword with them, and no Nautilator repaint either. Whether this means a giftset for less money... who knows.
