Yay... wait I was charged for just the one?! Well, I sent an email to TFSource about Overbite.

As for God Neptune, if I can get a set, I'm black washing them all, it should help bring the details on those soft white bodies to pop.

In one G1 universe these literally are the G1 Seacons after adorning Energon armor and losing two members. So it works.

You're mad about an issue that doesn't exist.

Looks cool but too pricey for me when I just got the Seacons.

It's also a dwarf-looking G1 brick with cutesy proportions and I think most of us are glad that isn’t the case anymore ;)

Not to dis the old toys, they were awesome for that they are back then, but I think modern releases shouldn’t be hold back by this. Especially not if the character is clearly colored bright white in fiction.

Also, if they wanted faded white, they should’ve used faded white paint. Not the ugly semi-gray plastic they're using as a substitute for white parts recently.

I'm mad about an issue that's relevant to me. If that doesn’t sit well with you, sorry, but I clearly see that the one on the left is white with sculpted details being clearly visible while the one on the right looks milky with the sculpts being completely washed out because of it.

I just noticed, correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t Scylla look like a heavy retool of the POTP Moonracer/Firestar/Siege Greenstrike/Selects Lancer mold?

God Neptune is not pure white. Your issue with it is being accurate to its source material. You waited 22 years for a God Neptune and that's exactly what this is. So whatever problem you have with this release also is present in the old release you've clearly never owned.

That's because that's the mold they used for Tentakill.

Exactly - my problem is that this release it is not accurate to the cartoon in which God Neptune was white. Not milky gray.

Not really, because you yourself posted a comparison picture and I can clearly see the difference in color.

I hoped this could be my fourth set of seacons, but the colors are not exactly interesting. It looks like a glace' turd.
    Still...

... preorders are up at Robotkingdom. 190 GBP shipped to UK.

The slightly translucent white is offputting

Oh no, two pictures taken by completely different cameras over a decade apart captured colors and lighting differently? Color me absolutely shocked.

So what you're saying is that the comparison you made to prove me wrong was invalid from the beginning but said invalidly is only relevant once it suits your argument? Gotcha.

You can drop it by the way; since I'm really not sure what you're trying to achieve here. Because what this whole thing boils down to is me saying "I don’t like it" and you answering "You're wrong" and that discussion really isn’t going anywhere.

I sea (he) the way that the plastic is off white which is a little disappointing but I personally don’t consider it a deal breaker. I have a hard time saying wether I prefer the original or these Seacons. I’ll maybe get them if they ever go on discount because my brain (and wallet) can’t justify £190 for 4 deluxes and a voyager. Also my favourite is Terrormander.

It looks like the same milk plastic used on Apeface. Im not sure on it tbh. The manga accompanying it is cool though.

I dig it! I like the pearl white. Not sure I've got the space for it but who knows down the line.

Whelp, I'm definitely buying this. About $200 sounds about right for the set. I do hope they do a new version of Lobclaw to go with God Neptune. I know he doesn't exist for BWII, but it'd be a cool addition.

Hmm... but that plastic is indeed worrying.

I honestly dont understand whats the difference between the G1 toy white and the Generations white. Its an exact match of the source material. Its not bleach white but neither was the original toy.

You've been going off on a tangent now for like 3 pages of this thread about an "issue" that has absolutely no relevance, do you even own the original God Neptune? I would post pics of my set but I dont feel like digging it out of storage right now
