Hah! Looks like they put an X of tape over his mouth like how you'd silence a cartoon character... and a gun mode picture a walmart.com employee would be proud of

Unlike the original G1 figure, this Megatron is silenced in robot mode rather than alternate mode.

LOL. Gotta love what they did to the mouth. It's actually so unique and cleanly done that it actually almost kind of makes me want to bid on it more than I would without it there.

I'm no huge fan of just a partial use of the chrome on Megs, but he's looking much better now than I had first thought. Maybe I will import this guy after all.

Of course, this particular one is an absolute no-go. That price is stupidly insane.

typical practice of defacing testshots to make them less desirable to collectors.

    bad transformations

why time and time again do people go to all the effort of displaying, photographing and publishing these sort of images of tfs without looking at the instructions!

you can find many on line or by checking against other pictures, i mean come on.
does anyone remember the malformed images of RID magnus in the titan g1 books. F***in use your heads.

    From auction description:

Ha! The hell with his shoulder, most of his face has been obliterated!

Buy it now! You too can have a severely damaged toy for $200 that will be available brand-new for fifty bucks in a couple of weeks!

    "Its Umph^(78)9^&6r%6&989 PRi-ER%67*90)0)9*8 Ahgggg!!!!!!! tape on mouf!~ $%^78(!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Didn't know this was a test shot or dealers sample. That does explain the defacing. I'm not a fan of the chrome, I wanted metallic silver paint like on Cybertron Galvatron. The red is nowhere near as bright/bad as the magazine scans showed.

The paint job really matches Cybertron Galvatron.

I wish there was a way I could simply trade the US version for the Japanese version. I don't feel like spending money on another Classics Megatron but I'd prefer this version. :(

Looks pretty nice, not "pay a premium to get one when I already have a Hasbro version that looks fine to me" nice, but nice.
