Man so far this sounds good. Maybe there's a chance it can make his backpack less big and more compact?

i'm guessing the only major thing they'd retool is his chest.

to tackle the kibble issue, it'd take a lot more work.

i honestly don't think they could do anything to this mold to make it great.. they'd have to redo the entire thing.

So maybe a screen-accurate Prime with his blaster and blades or his jet pack? Will also wait for pics...

Oooh! I wonder if it'll have the different arms. That'd be cool. I hope the shield has chrome like that Platinum hasbro 2 pack. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting it.

Wow, if this actually does turn out to be an Optimus with a retooled chest or backpack, and a Buster-esque paintjob (sounds like it from the description), I'd TOTALLY buy it!

Does anybody have any idea how the removable faceplate would work? This would be the first Optimus that comes with a faceplate without swapping out the whole face (DMK), right? Maybe it would peg on, but wouldn't Optimus have a giant hole or a giant peg sticking out of his face?

I know you can't make the back-pack go away, but at least make it removable!

There's a mod over in Radicons that has a guy working on making the backpack able to transform much better.

So, it would appear it is quite possible.

Yes, it's possible, but Hasbro and Takara both know that partsforming is frowned on by a majority of people. I doubt they would actually make it removable, but perhaps they can make the two gas tank runner-things flip upwards to cover the wheels, at the same time reducing the height of the backpack?

If it has beefier arms, a more accurate chest, and a better backpack, I may be interested in this. Leader Prime is a great toy from the waist down.

I'm assuming that black & white picture is not the product from the description? Because it looks like the regular leader Prime to me

Have what? You don't know what the thing even looks like.
Nobody does. Nobody except the guys that work at Takara.
Yes, that's the regular leader Prime, not the actual retool being described.
