New catalog this time is all about AOE Kre-O. Might be some new things here, or better look at things. Good view of the magnet gimmicks. Also included a picture of the sticker sheet they gave me with purchase at Toys R Us.
Does this mean wave 4 will get a proper release along with menasor and computron? There's quite a big gap in my collection -_-
That definitely looks like a Black Optimus Prime in the Stinger set. Probably just creative licenses, though.
Thanks Sol Fury, I thought this got lost in the mix with all the new Generations and AOE releases happening lately. You mods must be kept seriously busy sifting through all this stuff! If there are any parts of this catalog, or any of the others I've previously posted, that anyone would like to see a better picture of (ie. close-up; higher definition), just ask.
Looks like it really does (13th image). Also, because it's not too clear, he has the same deco on the chest and legs as the regular Optimus, just in grey plus red on the chest, red eyes, teal waist piece, & purple hands. That is also him on the screen behind, stripped of his helmet, pipes, & wheels. (The screen beside Stinger shows Stinger without helmet). Also on this page it tells us (in the yellow boxes with red text) that there will be a Transformers exhibition in both Taipei and in Gaoxiong (Kaohsiong). In Taipei from June 27-July 6; In Gaoxiong from July 11-July 20). The first two sets (Silver Knight Autobots & Elite Optimus Prime) will be limited/exclusive* to the Taipei event. The Stinger Replicator Chamber set will be limited/exclusive* to the Gaoxiong event. *The Chinese here reads "Limited to + the place name" and also says "first sell", but must be noted that the words do not precisely mean the sets will not be available elsewhere later. I gather their meaning is that at the time, people will only be able to get them there. Here's a link to the event in Taipei (which I will surely go and check out). Nice! I'm happy that Stinger is getting an actual Kreon, for those looking to have a full set of the characters in the film.
This replicator set is a little suspicious to me. First, look at each photo of the other Kre-o sets you see that at the bottom they show you which figures comes with the set. If you look at the replicator set you don't see a Stinger figure there, but it does show a Nemisis Prime figure. Second, this set was not shown at SDCC, which is not conclusive evidence, but it leads me to believe that this set is not going to be released, at least not in the US. To date we have never seen a official photo of the actual set.
Its an Asia Exclusive, like the Silver Knight set was, I believe. Robotkingdom has it for pre-order. They have official photos up, too.
Asia-exclusive? Man, what is up with Stinger? Exclusive here, exclusive there, repaint of non-BB originally-red Legends, no sign of a Deluxe...
I got one thank you for keeping track. Now all I need to do is track down that elite Optimus and I'll have a complete set again.
