    Strika's a badass.

Though laws of physics suggest she should've been pounded into a Strika-shaped hole, only to crawl out unscathed then mock him.

But that doesn't look as cool as stopping his punch wholesale.

I fully expect that'll be why Cybertron needs a new leader once Power of the Primes comes around. Starscream finally goes completely unhinged from the pressure and is "forcibly retired".

Strika: One bot strong enough to fend off Devastator. No wonder she had a drone army of herself.

I guess I'm the only person in this thread who saw Strika shrug off a blow from Devastator, and then just rolled my eyes...

Way to build up combiners, and then nerf them by granting random characters superduperpowerz.

I'm thinking Strika is a Outlier with super-strength and invulnerability, like Tailgate.

Thank you! It's like are you serious??? Prime, Grimlock, Galvatron and Megatron can't even do crap like this when addressing combiners! Even Phase Sixers shouldn't be a match for a combiner. It's the whole damn point of being a combiner! So what next? Victorian blocking a swift kick from Metroplex....

I don't mind Strika being a threat amongst her weight class (holding her own against Ironhide would be plausible) but if she ends up Mary Sueing Devastator the way Windblade did Menasor in the garbage @ss CW cartoon. I'm done with this book!

    Voyager Class Strika toy, please!

I'm of two opinions on Strika surviving Devastator's punch. On the one hand Carcerians in general are much bigger than Cybertronians. Strika is almost twice Starscream's height, so I could see her surviving a combiner fist, and then pushing it up off of her. I like actual badass fembots.

On the other hand, if she can singlehandedly take him down......nah. That's too over the top. Though I've noticed that with Scoop as part of Devastator, he seems to be noticeably wimpier than he was with Prowl, when it took Defensor, Optimus Maximus and Superion to bring him down.

Okay and why can't Devastor be one? He's ability for combination was never clarified nor was Superion's. I don't mind Strika being tough but not at the cost of the book feeling like an episode of "Mighty Mouse".

    Hahahahahaha!

Really? A Phase Sixer could wipe out Devastator with only one arm. These are guys who consider planetary genocide as a regular day of work.

Devastator's and Superion's combination were due to Bombshell finally perfecting the combination process (which is how he was able to modify Prowl to work as the head), and some energies given off in the wilderness of Cybertron that were a result of Megatron's machinations. I'm explaining it badly, but basically, Devastator was built, Superion was born, but neither of them due to the Enigma of Combination.

Plus, it's possible that changes in his psyche (due to Scoop replacing Prowl) may have affected any potential outlier powers. He's been written as noticeably less effective since Scoop joined.

But I would think if none of the Constructicons are outliers, Devastator wouldn't be, either.
