I guess you did not watch Season 3 yet? He is the evil-ER version of Megatron. In his universe, when he and Optimus had a disagreement over how to reform Cybertron, he killed him and took the Matrix way back then, meaning the Cons won the war and he started taking over the universe... but with the Matrix he could create perfect soulless Decepticon soldiers (who look like Tarn) hence he also destroyed his own Con followers, not needing them anymore. This universe's Megatron stole his Matrix and tried to come up with ways to stop Megatron X, but they all failed. He asked Prime for help in the end, admitting his counterpart became the monster he never wanted to become. It was a really great idea.

Did megatron x do anything specific to bumblebee that would cause this hunt? I do not recall anything... megatron x was just a basic appear and disappear character from what I remember.

 

My guess is that this Season 4 was a decision made after the whole Season 3 being the series finale thing. There's definitely going to be a lot of people who are not returning. Curious if there's going to be voice actor scheduling conflicts too.

I wonder if this is a first for Transformers? Unless Predacons Rising was a very late addition too?

 

Some extra news. I think K2 is an Italian channel. So this either refers to a Season 3 dub (unless it already aired) or the two 44 minute episodes (which means 2021 release as expected)

I'm mad hype, bro. Loved the Cyberverse character models, and while season 1 was bland af, I really felt like it came into its own starting with season 2. I was sad to see it go, and I'm now overjoyed to hear that there will be some additional content.

 

if I'm not mistaken this will mark the first animated appearance of the non-Grimlock G1 Dinobots since Animated.

Extremely excited for this. Cyberverse needs a proper ending (the actual finale ep was pretty rushed) and a tv movie is perfect for that.

Maybe some of the unused S4 concepts could find their way into this too, like female Jazz.

 

Any deets on your end about this?

Someone hasn't watched Rescue Bots Academy.

-ZacWilliam, I mean they aren't all there, but as many of them as were in Animated are.

 

Not to mention he's had a bunch of toys.

 

If there are two Cyberverse movies, what about the other showing Megatron's visit to the alternative universe and how he stole Megatron X's matrix?
That all sort of happened offscreen in the series.

 

Ok, so here's a rough run-down of the info I have.

Megatron-X returns, and plans to take over the entire multiverse, recruiting bots from a bunch of dimensions.

Sludge, Swoop, Snarl and Slug stowaway somehow and join up with the Autobots. They discover a way to create Volcanicus (the Ultimate Warrior) the only autobot powerful enough to defeat Megatron-X.

Not sure how the show designs will translate to toys but they look super cool.
Grimlock - Normal
Sludge - tail turns into large sword/lance blade
Slug - has his axe and a double barreled cannon on his back in dino-mode.
Snarl - tail turns into an awesome club.
Swoop - long tail turns into a sweet whip.
Volcanicus - cool bot mode - swoops wings enlarged to predaking size, has a large sword. Has an awesome combined alt-mode which is a dragon. (Might be made as a combined ultimate class figure)

New roll and combine gimmick
Bumblebee + Swoop
Megatron + Slug
Wheeljack + Grimlock

I also get the feeling this is kind of a filler line, with a new series potentially launching in 2022 with new designs/continuity. (Lots of carry forward/pack refreshes)

Anyway how cool would it be if Hasbro went full Crisis on Infinite Earth's to clear the decks for an aligned Movie/cartoon universe?
