I'd love to have this as my Classics Gears but unless they come down a bit ($20) its unlikely.

I was hoping to post and say this looks OK but I prefer iGear's but I'm not sure I can say it's OK anymore. The design looks pretty bad in that it doesn't have a clear aesthetic it's going for and if you try and make it a classics style update it still doesn't look right. I'll be sticking with Cogz.

Actually looks pretty darn good with colors... but yea... 70$ for it... =/

Wish more companies could go with the Mech Ideas price points... I mean really, if they were able to set up deluxes at 35 a pop... I'd not be surprised if more 3P companies could do so as well... =.

There is a lot going against the release of this, as others have said. Price, competing with iGear's established line, releasing a figure for MP which goes against what MP is (modernizations of characters don't fit the bill), etc

...but there is something I really like about this figure! It looks fun and I dig the proportions. Not good as Gears imo, but if they gave it a new head and made it someone else it would be quite tempting.

I may be late to the party, but I love the "Continuously Variable" name... my Honda Civic Hybrid sports a continuously variable transmission... as in, not gears. Ha. Cute.

I think it would be funny if this guy came out before Cogz. Which it might...

    I know, right....

I won't lie it looks pretty damn good - but for me its got three things against it; the price, second, call me when there's a Swerve repaint and third, I saw a customized TF Prime deluxe Kup someone turned into Gears and Brawn and its given me some ideas...

I don't understand how anybody would want a badassified version of gears. He was the whiner when Huffer wasn't around right?

The prototype pictures didnt catch my attention at all but the colored ones have me on the fence now. Cogz definitely looks better but I'm really liking the direction this has taken. Plus it's Gears, the poor guy has been all but forgotten by Hasbro. I may end up picking this up.

Drop the price about $20 and I'm in. I really like the looks, but not being an established 3rd party hurts and there are way more import figures that are higher on the buy list at the moment. Will buy if/once this goes on clearance.

I will be honest, I think this does look $70 good. I think it looks bigger than any of the recent FP causality figures, and a bit more solid.

    I'd give it a go.
