On BBTS iGear's Cogz (Gears) is $60 and the SXS Continuously Variable is on sale for $35. I don't know which is better, but I can say that iGear's version isn't worth $60.

Continuously Variable is the better figure of the two.

Igear's version looked more like the cartoon.

iGears is the better one IMO. Looks like the cartoon & scales nicely with MP figures. So until TT makes an official Gears, the iGear one has a home on my shelf.

I like the igear better than the other two. To me it looks more like Gears.

MakeToys Gears is superior to both of them.

This. Plus you get an excellent Swerve to boot.

Maketoys is easily the best. And frankly I'd even say the Hasbro legends one is better than iGears or SXS. But I guess if I only had those two choices, I think iGear's looks better, and more like Swerve, than the SXS one.

As someone who actually owns SXS's, I can say that it's a neat version of the character (if not canonically accurate to any of the supporting fiction). BBTS's current promotion on this piece is a steal, but be warned that the plastic used is slightly more waxy and rigid than the ABS used by other companies. Not quite "model kit grade", but definitely feels more fragile and rigid than most.

Maketoys version is a better toy and looks cool - it just doesn't look like gears.

I have all three (Maketoys as well, which is my favourite)

But if I was to choose between the 2 I gotta say I prefer SXS over iGear, but iGear is more correct to the cartoon.

I've been thinking of selling off my iGear Cogz and Veer, if anyone's interested, but it would depend on location where is best for people (I'm based in Ireland, so shipping to the US may be too expensive for some people) both have Reprolabels applied.

But yeah, there is no definitive version for me, all have some good qualities. Pity you can't buy a 'megamix' of the versions out there :D

Sxs has a better truck mode. The robot mode is far less traditional but it's height may fit in better with mp figures.

I'll sell you my Igear Cogz for $40. I like it better that the SXS version, but I'm in the middle of trying to pare down my collection. PM me if you are interested.
