I've decided to give the SWTFs one final chance. I like the overall looks of these two molds. I need some opinions on both of them. If you got one let me know what you think on it. If the overall reviews on both is bad then i'll pass. If it is good on both i may get both or simply flip a coin.
I got both last night and they are still uhhhh weak if that is the right word I got them dut to it being Fett but and anakin but I may return one if not both today
I have toyed with the idea of grabbing ObiWan, but I hate the proportions of the robot mode. The same for Boba. In each case you have overlong torsos and short arms and legs. The only fig I've grabbed was Grevious, who was of mediocre quality for a deluxe, only at a 50% increase in price. I am hoping later figs will be better, but I doubt it.
Well seeing the pictures of the "fixed" Obi-wan I may end up getting Anakin. I can tool with that with ease and have a decent figure. Like the head on him better than Obiwan. Boba looks decent.. Nothing great.. I'm not interested in Maul or Luke at all.
Despite some proportion issues, Obi-Wan Kenobi is actually decent. The figure is solid in both modes and has decent poseability. If you're only getting one SWTF figure, I'd suggest this one. Boba Fett, however, sucks. The vehicle mode is floppy as hell and, while the transformation is interesting, the robot mode has bad articulation in the legs and weird proportions. Plus, the pistols are cheap and don't sit tightly in the hands. In terms of quality: Kenobi >>>> Vader >> Fett >> Luke >>>>>>>>>> General Grievous
I would advise getting anakin over Obi. Same mold and all, but I feel anakin's head sculpt is much better than obi's and I feel the colors on anakin's are better, IMO of course.
Guess I'll get Anikin then.. then Obi Wan if i like the mold.. If i get desperate i'll get Fett or Jango..
