well I thought I'd take a crack at doing a review... (sorry about the pics I took them with my LG Xenon) Ok first AAT mode: This mode is quite solid and has limited robot parts seen (only the elbows can be seen) I give this mode 8 out of 10... -1 for the elbows and -1 cause of this..... Mini Vader pimpin' the AAT WTF HASBRO!!!!!!! Why are you going to give the AAT a driver seat when there isn't a single mini droid driver in the SWTF line!?!?!?!? Transformation isn't that hard but it is very though out.... prob. my favorite of the line. Transformation gets a 10 out of 10 Ok now I have to point out how bad-a$$ the head sculpt is... Head sculpt gets a 10!!! Makes him look like a p!ssed off Battle Droid!!! Now bot mode.... Bot mode gets a 8 out of 10 -1 for the AAT kibble... even though it is just hanging off of him it does not hinder anything. If anything it actually help balance the bot. -1 for his legs.... they really are skinny but are better then some other SWTF. Overall I give this SWTF a 9 out of 10. I have to say he is a must buy if you are into the line. If you are not into SWTF I still think you should pick him up. I hope you liked my first review... =( UPDATE: In bot mode the front of the turret can be taken off and held by the droid...
Got this the other day. I'm quite pleased with it. The vehicle mode glides very smoothly, as if it really were on repulsorlifts. The balance is great, even with the turret pointing straight back. Bot mode is skinny-limbed like most of the SWTFs. But on a BD it's very appropriate. Posability is great, with the exception of the limitation imposed on the shoulders by the side gun pylons. The "skirt" doesn't hinder things at all, surprisingly. I found an extra transformation step that's not mentioned in the instructions. There's a piece that flips down from beneath the turret. It's got two pegs that are obviously supposed to fit into holes on the back of the pelvis, but they're not quite long enough. It still helps fill out the pelvis and stabilize the backpack, though.
