Hi everyone, I have been working on this model for the past 3 months.

It is a fully possable and transformable dinobot which was first created by Hierofthedog and won custom of the month with this design. I never saw the build, but did catch it on Ebay when he was selling it. I came a cross it when I was looking for the latest masterpiec transformers for my collection. I came across this unique model/toy by chance. I had never hear of kit bashing until before, I just saw plenty of repaints. I looked at this amazing, must have transformer for ages. And the more I looked at the pictures I began to see simular parts from different toys. I thought I would have ago myself, it looked easy enough (well I thought at the time). When it went for more than I could afford, i realised that I had lost the chance to own it myself. So I thought, right then. Im going to give this ago myself. Not knowing the magnitued of the task ahead of me. After hours of studying the Ebay pictures and hours of searching the internet for the right toys/parts. I bought what i thought I needed and armed with a file, screwdriver and a hack saw, I started my first ever custom build.

So here I am 3 months later, a converted Gundam model kit fan to a kit bashing custom freak. I have to say, it was well difficult to do. It taxed my bind, but I have laerned a massive amount through each part of this (re) creation. I just want to say a big thank you to Heirofthedog for inspiring me to kit bashing! He has seen the nearly finished model and likes it. Man thats an honour for me.

I am only waiting for some decals ing the post, one autobot symbol for the dino head. Also awaiting 2 autobot symbol cufflinks for the wings. Thinking of making a base for it....

Enought of me yapping away. Here is a photo shoot I did for you guys!

nifty, what did you use as the base figure? It looks great what ever it is for being a replica of something you saw on ebay!

Looks like a MP seeker body for the base.

The base toy is a one of the wallmart masterpiece Skywarp's. He is a converted Decepticon....

Im not sure what a seeker is, but I think this is one of the jets from the masterpiec collection. Im I right, or wrong?

Here ya go buddy, Seeker (body-type) - Transformers Wiki, everything you ever wanted to know about seekers. The short answer - Decepticon jets are called seekers. The one you used is a seeker mold.

You did a fantastic job with this. I remember Heirofthedog's version and this is very close! I really like the wings, and the way they can positioned in dino-mode. Super realistic.

Yeah, Heirofthedog is a real inspiration. The wings are great, it was fun making the extra segment to make them super aticulated.

I wish I had dinobot Grimlosck masterpiece! I would have to do a paint job if I got it so I can pose them together. Unless someone gives me him, I dont see myself posing them together for a while...

How much does a custom Masterpiece like Swoop go for? How tall is he in robot mode?

The first one that Heirofthedog made went for £1,570. on Ebay with a 'dying soundwave action base' that was made espcially for him. My swoop doesnt have an action base yet, so it's not going to go for as much as that. But I never thought of how much he's worth....

He stands at the same height as Masterpiece Skywarp, about 21cm from top of the head to the base of the feet. his wing span is roughly 41.5cm

I looked at your wish list and didnt see swoop, hehe!!

DO IT! I have this in one of my boxes at home as a wip but hit a few snags. The vids you already have helped out quite a bit but a full on tutorial would be greatly appretiated from alot of ppl.

what sort of snags have you come across. Maybe i can give you an idea or two. If i redo the tutorial in depth, it will take much longer to make. What are you having trouble with?

Its was my first attemp so i have learned alot myself. It wasnt easy, and as i was figuring one thing out. I know other things haunted me, but as i tackled them one step at time. It all came together. Like today for instance, i wanted so much to have the cannons on the wing. For ages i put it off, and off because i couldnt quite figure out how heirofthedog did it on his. Today i painted them, and fitted them with a screw. It worked so well. I was so afraid of recking the wings, i put it off. Next challange is the missiles, i have ordered some cycle bike inner tube dust caps off ebay today that look pretty cool. Fingers cross that they are the right size. I reckon they will be... I already have an idea how im gonna fit them too, and to make them removable also.

Checl my latest vid on the cannons... Just going to do the vid now and post it.
