For the time being, until the Maketoys upgrade set is given a release date/preorder, is there a good alternative Prime head that can be switched out for the abomination that comes with this figure?

 

I was thinking about swapping Generations WFC Prime's head with RTS G2 Prime's. I just have to wait until I can get G2 Prime out of storage to see it'd be possible. I thought the head styles might suit the opposite figures better.

 

I will go on my own here and say that Animated 2pack Prime's head is sweet as hell considering his An. body looks like a donkeys poop hole.I would suggest try using that one,if you don't like it try a different head like others say.Hope that helps.

 

it doesn't quite work, i tried it but I think the balljoints are different sizes if I remember correctly.

 

Well, I don't mind Laser Prime's head myself (it's better than the WFC one, IMO), but if you're looking for a smallish G1-looking Prime head, what about the one that comes on little Kre-O Optimus? I don't have the smaller Prime set, but it seems like it might be about the right size. Plus it is on a ball-joint, and is already a separate piece from the figure.

Maybe someone with both Laser Prime and small Kre-O Prime could check to see if the size works out.

I cant take a pic right now, but while the socket for kre-o prime's head is much bigger and deeper than the balljoint for the body, it looks pretty great on the figure.

 

I wonder if this one would work.

 

Interesting, all you would need is a little filler, might have to go get a little Optimus now just to see.

 

his head is exactly the same height and width in area taken up (might be 1-2mm off). face is larger though, being a version of the classics voyager prime head.

 

With that said, is the $7 Kreo prime head the same size as the classics voyager prime head?
