Not sure if this is old news or not, but I noticed a slight packaging variation on Starscream while I was at Target. Some have their cyber keys packed next to his left leg, while others have the keys between his legs, next to the crown. Not sure how this change helps any, but just thought I'd let the variant hunters know.
I never paid close attention to this figure because he's not on my to-buy list. The in-box pic at TFU.info shows the version with the keys between his legs though. http://www.tfu.info/2005/Decepticon/Starscream/starscream.htm I'll try to get pics either tonight or tomorrow.
There's no way, no way what so ever, that I'd ever buy 2 of the same Transformers just because the BOX was somehow different. I've seen both versions at TRU and I think the "varient" looks more like a misprint even though keys and crown are in a different location. This is an expesive figure too for what it is. One is more than enough of either varient.
Didn't realize this was something, but I did take a pic of mine(I always take pics of things before I open them). It has the keys by his left leg. [img=http://img474.imageshack.us/img474/3176/sscream9bc.th.jpg]
Yeah, the first wave had them on the side, then after that they started putting them where they are now.
Supreme Starscream: New Packaging? I was at Toys R' Us a few weeks ago, and I noticed that supreme Cybertron Starscream had some new packaging...the two cyber keys and the Decepticon crown were in the middle of the package under Starscream's groin compared to them being on the right side of the box. I don't have any pics or anything...but can someone else confirm this?
I started a thread about this about a month ago, and based on the replies I got, others seem to have noticed the differences even earlier.
