IMDb Video: Superman | Batman: Public Enemies


I don't hate it.

 

Sold! I had no idea this was coming, but I've enjoyed all the DC directed to DVD animated movies and liked the original story, so I'm sure I love this.

If nothing else, the animation looks amazing.

 

Either they're using the name I saw from the Batman/Superman TPB, or they just loved the title of Michael Mann's new movie and decided to use it because of the vauge Batman Connection (Christian Bale).

 

giant batman/superman robot???! i dont know it thats really cool or really stupid.

It's awesome trust me.
I cannot wait!!!!!!! Green Lantern is making geeky enough! This is too much!   I love how it looks just like the comic. Then how (according to IMDB anyway) Kevin Conroy is reprising his role as the greatest Batman voice ever!!!!!!!! *faints from fangazm* XD

 

With this and GL, it's gonna be an awsome year for the DCAU.

 

i hope it's better then doomsday, and at least as good as the frontier one, *the only one of these films i've enjoyed so far*

For those of you knocking on the Supes/Bats robot,in the context of the story it works. I don't want to spoil anything,though.

 

Looks like they're doing a near spot-on adapt of the story, which is awesome IMO as it is one of the better arc of S/B.

 

That sounds promising then. I've only read the Supergirl arc, which I enjoyed.

 

Wow, the animation looks pretty darn close to Ed McGuiness' artwork. I'm happy that Kevin Conroy will be back as Batman. Hopefully they can get Tim Daly to voice Superman again.

 

I highly recommend "Public Enemies" and the arc after the "Supergirl" arc. Can't remember its name, but S&B became dictators of the world in it. Good Stuff.

May I just say you have excellent taste in comics, and the name of the arc you're looking for is "Absolute Power".

 

I hope they leave the Power Girl bit in there. That part fracking cracks me up every time

 

A lot of the early Supes/Bats run was great. This is fine fodder for animation.

 

Same here. However, the lack of any super-heroes in this trailer has me concerned that they've altered the story in this respect. You'd think that would be the main focus of the trailer. The only heroes I see are Captain Atom and Katana. Everybody else is a villain. It isn't even Captain Atom flying the Super-Bat-bot, it's Batman. It wouldn't surprise me if they couldn't get the rights to Captain Marvel, Hawkman, Nightwing or Power Girl and had to change the story because of it. I hope that isn't the case.

 

Wow. I actually have read/own this comic, too. Can't wait! I wonder if Starfire will have a cameo like in the comic?
