I just want a goofy gimmicky character to bounce around the stage on like Bowser Jr., Pirannha Plant or Banjo and Kazzooie.

 

I just hope it's a character that'll push me to actually buy the pass. I'm definitely a broken record at this point but imo all the characters have something about them I like but just not enough for me to pay the price to get them.

 

A bit late in replying to this but that would be completely irrelevant: the line-up for Fighter's Pass 2 was finalized before Byleth was even announced (most likely some time in between the release of Banjo-Kazooie and Terry).

 

I see... I guess that means a Pokemon is still very much a possibility.
